The Windchill Infrastructure & System Administrator is the backbone of our Windchill PLM group. They are responsible for maintaining cloud or on-premises (typically AWS govcloud) infrastructure supporting all aspects of Windchill, ThingWorx, and related/required components to meet customer functionality and performance requirements on all Production and non-Production environments. They are responsible for installing PTC and supporting 3rd party software including cps updates, maintenance build installations, performing upgrades, performing rehost activities, and applying application security updates. This resource is also responsible for developing and maintaining a Windchill environment image that can be shared with and used by developers to execute their daily work. Finally, this role will also perform regular Windchill system maintenance including both front end GUI related administration as well as backend daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed activities. This role involves supporting Windchill application development projects directly supporting the Software and Enterprise Solutions team supporting the US Navy. The ideal candidate has 5 to 8 years of experience in Windchill installations, rehosting, upgrading, infrastructure setup and maintenance in a RedHat Linux based environment. The ideal candidate must also be proficient in AWS and hold relevant AWS certifications. They must have the ability to work independently and have demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
