Persistent Systems
Job Description & Responsibilities Persistent Systems is seeking a Director of Business Development, Canada who will be responsible for strategically growing, scaling, and managing international business in the Canadian market. This individual will develop short and long-term strategies to grow revenue and proliferate our Wave Relay MANET technology in commercial, industrial, unmanned systems, and government sectors. This individual will create partnerships with foreign military customers and leverage those partnerships to create direct sales opportunities and programs. This role will be dynamic with the right candidate both managing the team and related resources and directly driving revenue and market share. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely. Position Responsibilities - Developing and executing strategy for growing the company’s efforts in the Canadian Market - Developing new and existing customers with strong emphasis on the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), DND, RCMP, and other government agencies - Identifying and capturing programmatic and FMS opportunities in the region - Providing a single point of contact for all customers - Identify applications and ambassadors for Wave Relay® technology - Overseeing and planning market specific trade shows, conferences, and events - Traveling to customer and business partner locations for programmatic meetings and events - Providing input to the Engineering department in terms of roadblocks to entry into international markets - Work closely with FT2S to identify and support key demonstrations and customer exercises Job Qualifications & Experience Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field - 7 years’ experience supporting government projects for foreign entities - 7 years of sales experience focused on networking and communications systems - Experience with project planning (including creating and managing work breakdown schedules), project cost estimation, risk management, cost-benefits analyses, progress reporting, and identifying potential business partners - Prior experience selling and working with Canadian government organizations - Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time - Must have a United States Security Clearance or be able to obtain a United States Security Clearance Preferred Qualifications - Master’s degree in business administration - 15 years’ progressive experience in international sales and sales management - 15 years’ experience in technical sales The compensation for this role can vary from $160,000 to $180,000 a year plus commission based on individual qualifications. Eligible for sales incentive compensation plan.
