Role Description Doubleverify is seeking a Policy Intern to contribute to the company’s approach to content classification. The Product Policy Intern will work across content verticals ranging from hate speech to crime, violence, and disasters. Candidates should have knowledge of or interest in internet policy issues and media regulatory issues and/or law. They should also have excellent writing and analytical skills. Responsibilities - Research policy positions and support policy writing to inform classification across content verticals. - Support resource creation for training labeling teams on product policy. - Articulate policy positions for internal teams in order to support client queries and requests. - Understand and research public opinions and advertiser perspectives in order to inform policy creation and policy adjustments. - Collaborate with linguists and data scientists when creating classification models. Qualifications - 2-3 years of experience in media regulatory issues, online content policy, regulation of user-generated content, or similar relevant experience. - Excellent writing and analytical skills. - Familiarity with web and social media content trends. - Interest in and passion for policy and content classification/moderation. Preferred Qualifications - Currently in the final or penultimate year of a relevant graduate school program including but not limited to Journalism, International Relations, or Law. - Familiarity with national or international policy proposals or frameworks for addressing harmful content online. - Familiarity with internet policy issues. - Familiarity with content moderation or classification.

Requirements - College credits may be substituted on a proportional basis (one year of college education may substitute for one quarter of the required experience) for up to one half of the required experience. - Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement. - For those applicants with military service, please provide your DD214 or other official military documentation that may help identify transferable skills and experience that may qualify in lieu of the required education.
