Lead Automation Validation Engineer
KPI Integrated Solutions
• Lead development of validation strategies, protocols, and reports (IQ/OQ/PQ). • Project-level validation owner. • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Software teams to ensure seamless project delivery. • Apply standards and templates to project execution. • Approves project validation deliverables and Summary Reports. • Guide Validation Engineers in test execution and deviation management. • Support hardware/software integration and end-to-end system qualification. • Collaborate with project teams to resolve technical validation challenges. • Collaborate with controls and software engineering to develop the User Acceptance Testing Plan during the engineering phase. • Collaborate with controls and electrical engineering to develop the controls DOO for complex automation systems. • Execute end-to-end system OQ and PQ testing at project sites for complex automation systems. • Prepares Validation Summary Reports and manages defect resolution through completion.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline.
- 7+ years validation engineering experience with protocol authorship.
- Demonstrated leadership in regulated commissioning/qualification projects.
- Proficiency in PLCs, Java, Python, or C++
- Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in navigating AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Navisworks.
- Preferred Qualifications:**
- Experience leading validation for automated systems.

Role Description Looking for an energized transmission planning study engineer to join our grid solutions team as we strengthen reliability, support renewable integration, and advance grid modernization for our clients. A bachelor’s degree is required, and in support of all aspects of transmission studies on power flow, voltage stability, transient stability, and other power system analyses. - Performing power system analysis and network modeling to meet client specifications in reliability, regulation, and quality requirements. - Conducting studies in areas such as generator connections, voltage stability, arc-flash energy, insulation coordination, and power station design. - Preparing detailed technical reports and contributing to technical work products. - Collaborating with a global team to execute studies and deliver high-quality solutions. - Managing client relationships and expectations, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery. - Contributing to business development activities and identifying new client opportunities. - Will perform power system analysis for transmission system, including power flow, voltage stability, transient stability and short circuit analyses. Role Description ICF is seeking to hire an expert in operational technology solutions for DER integration and the execution of planning, maintenance, and operating strategies to dispatch multi-technology DER portfolios for utility grid services. The power sector is in an exciting period of innovation and change. Electrification and distributed energy resources create new challenges and opportunities for the electric grid. Traditional approaches to grid planning and operation will not be enough to cost-effectively sustain reliability, affordability, and speed to power in an increasingly dynamic environment, and a modernized grid will necessitate a robust integration of DER technologies into utility planning and operating practices. In your role, you will provide subject matter expertise and advice on: - Distributed energy resource (DER) integration, orchestration, and utilization to enable the provision of distribution grid services through DER aggregation and virtual power plant (VPP) solutions. - Translating grid service requirements into DER/VPP performance specifications and IT/OT workflows, especially for DERMS, ADMS, AMI, and edge devices. - VPP system architecture, functional requirements, and application of industry standards for DER interoperability and the integration of aggregator solutions. - Visibility of DER and the application of communications and controls to reliably interface with DERs for distribution grid services. - Developing VPP operating models and operational procedures to effectively manage VPP resources in a manner that delivers dependable performance.
