Role Description This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive project estimates while helping develop the tools, vendor relationships, and cost data infrastructure that support our long-term estimating strategy. The estimator will work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to deliver well-structured bids and maintain a scalable estimating process. The successful candidate will possess a strong blend of technical solar estimating expertise, electrical construction knowledge, and organizational skills. This individual must demonstrate proficiency in estimating software, cost modeling, and risk evaluation while supporting business development efforts and delivering optimal financial outcomes. This role will help shape GenPro’s estimating systems, vendor relationships, and cost database as we scale our national solar & BESS EPC pipeline. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or construction management preferred but not required. - 2+ years of solar electrical estimating experience (EPC environment strongly preferred). - Hands-on electrical construction experience is strongly preferred. - Ability to interpret full construction drawing sets (civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to deliver estimates on time in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
