Overview GovCIO is currently hiring for an Associate Product Manager to support small-scale products within a government contract alongside senior Product/Program Managers. Responsibilities span project planning, stakeholder communication, risk and scope management, quality control, and documentation. Ideal candidates are self-directed, trustworthy, and familiar with core product management principles. Bachelor's degree preferred. This position will be fully remote. Responsibilities The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing small scale products within the CCIN contract/AAD Task Order and work along side seasoned Product/Program Managers for continued professional development. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING - Planning and Organization: Assisting in the development project plan, defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, and creating a detailed timeline. - Communication: Maintaining clear and open communication with team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure everyone is informed and aligned with project goals - Risk Management: Working with a Product Manager to identify potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate or address them to minimize project disruptions. - Scope Management: Working with a Product manager to control project scope and avoiding scope creep by managing changes through a structured change control process. - Quality Control: Ensuring that project deliverables meet the required quality standards and conducting regular reviews to maintain quality. - Time Management: Learn how to monitor project timelines, identifying potential delays, and taking corrective actions to keep the project on schedule. - Problem-Solving: Addressing project challenges and resolving issues promptly to keep the project moving forward. - Stakeholder Management: Engaging with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and managing their expectations throughout the project. - Decision Making: Making informed and timely decisions, considering project constraints, and aligning with project objectives. - Documentation: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. - Reporting: Providing regular progress updates to stakeholders and senior management, highlighting achievements, and addressing concerns. - Adaptability: Being flexible and adaptable to changes in product requirements, market conditions, or unforeseen circumstances. - Customer Satisfaction: Ensuring that the product delivers value to the customer and meets their expectations. - Continuous Improvement: Seeking opportunities for learning and process improvement, and applying lessons learned to enhance future projects. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE - You’ve demonstrated that you’ve been responsible managing assigned tasks as an Associate Product Manager requiring little oversight - You’ve established trust with your colleagues and management as evidenced by being prepared and following through with your commitments - You have established an understanding and applying Product Management principles and practices when appropriate Qualifications Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience) Demonstrated ability to manage assigned tasks as an Associate Product Manager with minimal oversight - Foundational understanding of product management principles, tools, and practices - Strong organizational skills, including task planning, documentation, and timeline tracking - Effective communication skills for engaging team members, stakeholders, and clients - Ability to identify issues, analyze problems, and support timely decision‑making - Experience maintaining accurate project documentation (plans, status reports, meeting minutes) - Proven reliability and trustworthiness; consistently prepared and able to follow through on commitments - Ability to adapt to changing priorities, requirements, and project conditions - Basic understanding of risk, scope, and quality management concepts Clearance Required: - Ability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.
