The Territory Account Specialist is a diverse position that will be responsible for managing a territory of assigned accounts and focus on food safety and sanitation audits, chemical training, dispenser installation, and maintenance in regional and national retail accounts. This role provides training to customer’s associates in the use of products, systems, and sanitation procedures. The role is required to be able to provide recommendations for appropriate sanitation or food safety corrective action(s) to maintain a high level of cleanliness and/or food safety. The TAS will be responsible for maintaining the Company’s high quality of sales and service to all customers. Response to customer service calls is also required. What You'll Do: - Manage a designated territory, conducting food safety and sanitation audits and servicing chemical dispensing equipment, including ware wash platforms. - Train customer associates on the proper use of products, systems, and food safety sanitation procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency. - Drive sales by providing inventory assessments and solution-oriented service recommendations during customer visits. - Install, maintain, and ensure the proper functioning of chemical dispensing equipment. - Identify sanitation violations and recommend corrective actions to maintain high cleanliness standards, communicating significant issues to the customer’s Quality Assurance team or relevant management. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term partnerships. - Ensure the cleanliness, safeguarding, and maintenance of assigned equipment, vehicle, and all company property; perform internal reporting and administrative duties as required. What You'll Bring: - High school diploma or equivalent - 2+ years of Experience in food safety or sanitation - 2+ years of Email, Excel, and Word - Valid Driver’s License - Ability to travel 50% (minimum overnight travel is required) - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. - NEHA -CP-FS certification or become certified within one year of employment; RS, REHS, CP-FS, NRFSP registered preferred (or to will earn within the first 12 months of employment) - Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally to achieve company goals. - Professional attitude, good organizational skills, and self-motivated/directed. - Excellent time management, communication, decision making, and human relation skills. Job Description Job Summary: The Field Merchandise Team Leader will plan, direct and execute the merchandising and operations startup of new stores, remodels, full store resets, equipment enhancements, special projects and closings. Supervise the daily activities of field merchandisers, store associates and vendors to meet project timelines. Ensure merchandising standards and communication processes are followed. Reviews merchandising and equipment plans for accuracy and works with Retail Space Planning, Floor Planning and Construction Teams to resolve concerns. Principal Duties: - Plan, direct and execute the merchandising and operations startup of new stores and remodels. Participate in kickoff meetings and weekly touch points with Store Operations. Build Lozier and Metro shelving, stock all small wares, and oversee restocking of the store including McLane and DSD vendor product and fuel supplies. Manage Store Operations support, third party labor resources as well as merchandising team labor. Direct new store set up and the execution of merchandising to the highest standards. - Plan and implement full store resets. Determine equipment and fixture needs based on surveys and proposed plan, review fixture availability in storage locations and order additional equipment as required. Conduct post reset walk with Store Operations and update equipment survey. - Coordinate DSD and set up vendor equipment and fixture delivery to stores for resets, new stores, remodels. Resolve vendor product issues to ensure product is 100% in stock. Ensure vendors provide credit and pick up product for closings. Work in partnership with the DSD Supply Chain and the Merchandising and Floor Planning Coordinator. - Manage the transfer, donation and recycling processes for all closings, remodel stores as well as full store closings. Work in partnership with Store Operations Impact Planning Team on product donations and Facilities Team on shelving recycling. - Ensure equipment stress tests are conducted for all new stores and remodels. Work with Construction and the Contact Center to resolve issues prior to opening. Document issues and trends through the iPad survey to provide feedback through partnerships with Operations Engineering. - Provide insight to construction for building punch walk for new stores and remodels. Conduct and resolve merchandising punch walk with operations. Complete all required surveys via the iPad. - Ensure plan-o-gram compliance at store level. Coach Store Management Team on merchandising standards at store level. Provide merchandising support as requested to Store Operations. - Conduct surveys as scheduled by Merchandising Logistics Coordinator or Merchandising Supervisors for Category Teams or other internal partners. - Provide overall direction and support for team. Monitor and assess individual work in accordance with high standards of excellence. Provide feedback, coaching, support, opportunities for development, complete performance appraisals, take corrective action when appropriate, and participate in hiring decisions. - Work cross functionally with Strategic Sourcing, Retail Space Planning, Category Teams, and Construction to identify process improvements. Behave in a consistent manner, keeping sensitive information confidential and adhering to ethical and professional standards. - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on trailers and equipment in a mobile/field environment. - Respond to call center dispatched unscheduled service and maintenance request. - Use hand tools, precision instruments, as well as Trailer tools, welding equipment, and jacks. - Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders (“RO”) using company issued iOS device and our proprietary TRAIT application - Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion. - Work with a high degree of independence and manage own daily schedule. - Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most Standard Repair Times. - Obtain parts from approved local and national vendors as necessary for the repairs to be performed. - Communicate with management and support team via email or phone to obtain approvals on repair estimates, retrieve purchase order numbers and/or discuss RO findings notes. - Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT. - Participate and complete all-in company required safety training. - Establishes and maintains good working relationships with assigned customers and vendors. Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Maintain company issued service truck, conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections. - Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of trailers equipment and systems including, but not limited to the following: trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, and brake chambers - Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures. - Remain up to date on safety protocols and procedures. - Diagnose, adjust, and perform repairs on various types of trailer equipment, and systems including, but not limited to the following: trailer brakes, air lines, auxiliary pumps and engines, liftgates, brake chambers, welding, fabrication, replacement of panels, body, and framework. - Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, using sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives. - Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges. - Assist Mobile Trailer Technician I with diagnostics. REQUIREMENTS - High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field. - At least 3 years of experience with refrigerated equipment - Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties. - Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within eighteen (18) months. - Obtain 608/609 certification within eighteen (18) months. - This position follows regulations issued by the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Candidate must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment. - A current and valid DOT medical card with more than four (4) months remaining until its expiration may be submitted in leu of a DOT physical. If the DOT medical card has four (4) months or less of validity remaining, a DOT physical will be required. - Due to interstate operating authority commerce regulations, candidates must be at least 21 years or older. - Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. Candidate must hold a valid state-of-residence driver’s license, be able to obtain and maintain their Driver Qualification File.
