Assists Workers' Compensation Director with process improvements, employee training and development. Diagnoses issues within the department and devises resolution tactics. Duties and Responsibilities - Supervises the Workers' Compensation Department or a group of employees in the department and performs all supervisory responsibilities. - Identifies, manages, and resolves employee performance and disciplinary issues. - Reviews, guides, and recommends actions to ensure fairness and consistency. - Responsible for meeting and maintaining department benchmarks and goals, including revenue, aged and overall production goals. - Develops individual and team benchmarks to encourage high productivity. - Monitors quality and productivity and makes corrections when necessary. - Conducts and reviews daily reports to assess employee and training issues and ensure productive account management. - Reviews, edits and approves denial requests; ensures Claims Specialists are using correct text and respond to questions regarding the denial process. - Develops employees to process their own denials. - Develops and conducts department training; trains new hires in general company and AcciClaim training and department-specific training. - Performs continuous training through activities such as work review, QA sessions, team meetings, one-on-one coaching, etc. - Analyzes accounts to ensure client placements meet the company's requirements and recommends process changes for efficient resolution. - Communicates with clients regarding account questions and concerns; suggests solutions for problems when needed. - Works with other departments to facilitate best practices for overall effectiveness and protocols and procedures. - Performs special projects as assigned. - Maintains confidential information, whether verbal, written or electronic. - Will not access or attempt to access confidential data unrelated to job duties. - Will not disclose Protected Health Information (PHI) in violation of law. - Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws. Qualifications - HS diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA strongly preferred. - One to three years Workers' Compensation experience. - One to three years supervisory experience strongly preferred. - Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. - Working knowledge of computer functions including the internet and Microsoft Office suite; knowledge of or ability to learn AcciClaim. - Thorough understanding of all equipment, methods, and procedures to effectively train new hires and upgrade existing personnel's skills. - Proven ability to analyze and effectively resolve problems. - Ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities and adapt according to situational demands. - Demonstrated sense of personal and professional judgment and maturity. - Willingness to take initiative on projects and responsibilities. - Proven ability to work cooperatively with others. Work at Home Requirements - A quiet, distraction-free environment to work from in your home. - A secure home internet connection with speeds >20 Mbps for downloads and >10 Mbps for uploads is required. - The workspace area accommodates all workstation equipment and provides adequate surface area to be productive. - Must reside in the United States within specified states. Job Requirements

Role Description This role supports ClearHealth Strategies’ Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) team in a quasi-legal process focused on dispute review, eligibility analysis, and preparing arbitration briefs to ensure compliance with the federal No Surprises Act and state surprise billing laws.
