Global Overview

• Conduct research and analysis for key target brands and/or categories, participating in top-of-funnel prospecting activities • Support inbound RFPs, RFIs, and proactively develop custom ideas and solutions • Conduct due diligence by analyzing brand performance on Amazon and potential for growth. • Research prospective business opportunities, measuring against GO's criteria to determine go forward path • Gain a deep understanding of a brand, the competitive landscape, and its key business objectives to deliver growth strategy through qualitative analysis and quantitative data • Use your expertise in Amazon to educate and act as business consultant for prospective partners, providing insights and strategies to accelerate success across retail, operations and advertising • Set priorities and expectations for all prospective clients, owning communication and progressing clients forward in the pitch process • Develop and present creative thinking and solution-oriented strategies that are tailored to each prospective client • Stay close to Amazon marketing BETAs and programs that can be leveraged on behalf of potential clients • Manage contract negotiations and in collaboration with BD leadership, GO Finance, negotiate optimal deal terms • Identify prospective Amazon brand partners by attending industry events via our referral pipeline, and by developing/refining prospecting tactics • Proactively generate new business opportunities through specific channels • Build strong relationships with emerging brands / prospective clients to act as an expert in driving business growth. • Monitor/manage your sales pipeline and revenue projections providing insights regularly to leadership • Proactively assist the larger GO vision by providing insightful POV to clients on industry trends • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand each internal discipline and how each piece impacts the overall strategic plan • Develop new business-related research requests and development of content for new business opportunities (e.g. what capabilities to provide, etc.) • Mentor peers and contribute to a high performing team

Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in customer facing roles within sales, brand management or buying, in CPG, e-commerce, retail, key account management, or consulting environment
  • Must have managed Amazon businesses within the last 18-24 months
  • Required understanding of Amazon consumer tools across Seller, Vendor and Amazon Advertising portals
  • Strong skills in MS Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite
  • Successful track record of building strong relationships with clients and peers
  • Demonstrated decision making, problem solving, analytical and negotiating skills
  • Experience working with Amazon and other ecommerce retailers
  • Strong ownership, bias for action and willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Proven ability to influence others and independently lead customer engagements
  • Preferred: experience in financial analysis, inventory planning & allocation, product/project management, marketing, consulting, negotiation or supply chain is a plus

Role Description The SBA Business Development Officer is responsible for generating new business opportunities for the VelocitySBA Franchise Division. This includes building and maintaining relationships with franchisors, franchise brokers, and prospective franchisees. The primary goal is to drive growth by securing financing deals within the franchise sector.
