Job Summary: The Director, Strategic Partnerships will serve as the lead liaison between Mercer Advisors and key outside business partners, working closely with cross-functional teams internally to identify new opportunities, negotiate mutually beneficial agreements, develop processes for lead generation & intake, and successfully launch new initiatives within our sales infrastructure. The Director of Strategic Partnerships must possess a unique skill set to succeed in this highly dynamic role. With a focus on relationship building, communication, and negotiation, the Director of Strategic Partnerships will play a vital role in driving revenue and expanding the firm’s reach. Reporting to the Executive Managing Director of Client Development, the new Director, Strategic Partnerships will: - Own and manage the strategy and processes associated with building and maintaining a network focused on driving growth of our high net worth opportunities and centers of influence - Lead a cross-functional effort across product, engineering, client development, operations, marketing, legal, compliance and finance to drive partnership success - Identify and negotiate partnership expansion efforts, including the launch of new strategies, unlocking new markets, developing new go-to-market pathways, and improving collaboration - Set the long-term vision, strategy, and goals for each partnership, while ensuring seamless day to day operations and support - Support new business development efforts and the evolution of our partnerships strategy - Stay on top of the evolving industry landscape to identify new partnership opportunities Qualified candidates will have the following skills & attributes: - Strategic thinking and planning: ability to identify potential partnerships, evaluate their value, and develop a plan to establish and grow the partnership. - Relationship building: strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and internal teams. - Communication: excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to clearly articulate the company’s value proposition and negotiate terms with partners. - Negotiation: strong negotiation skills, ability to effectively negotiate mutually beneficial agreements with partners. - Networking: extensive network in relevant industries, ability to make connections and build relationships with potential partners. - Market and industry knowledge: comprehensive understanding of the market and industry trends, ability to identify new partnership opportunities. - Project management: ability to manage multiple partnerships and projects concurrently, ensuring successful execution and delivery. - Financial acumen: understanding of financial metrics, ability to evaluate the financial impact of partnerships and make data-driven decisions. - Leadership: ability to lead cross-functional teams and effectively manage stakeholders within the company and with partners. Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
