Engineer II, Mobile Software Development
Slate Auto
• Responsible for defining and building our digital customer experience • Lead the definition, design, architecture, implementation, and delivery of Slate software • Code and test system components, and lead code and design reviews • Own end-to-end code quality, system tests, functional tests, and integration • Collaborate with UX and product teams to build and invent new solutions and applications that put customers first • Relentlessly simplify, demonstrating significant innovation, creativity, and judgement when solving challenging problems • Act as an authority on technical issues by the technical and business community, and be frequently consulted to make difficult trade-off decisions • Utilize Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, unit testing, API development, and Swift to perform duties • Responsible for driving awareness about the impact and consequences of technical decisions on the business • Assist in the career development of others, actively helping individuals and the community on advanced technical issues, and helping managers with guiding the career growth of their team members.
Job Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree)
- Three (3) years in the position above, as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation
- Experience must include six (6) months’ use of all the following: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, React Native, unit testing, API development, and Swift.

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive configuration management (CM) plans, processes, and procedures aligned with industry standards. • Manage engineering change requests (ECRs), change notices (CNs), and product baselines to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with internal and external requirements. • Assess current Engineering Tools (ET) and Change Notice (CN) processes within IEM, identify gaps, and implement solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability. • Establish and enforce version control protocols and configuration status accounting practices to maintain consistency across engineering documentation. • Ensure end-to-end traceability of requirements, designs, and changes across the product lifecycle, supporting quality and compliance objectives. • Work closely with engineering, quality assurance, manufacturing and program management teams to maintain configuration integrity and support project goals. • Maintain configuration management audit account and performance metrics to stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making. • Provide support during internal and external audits, reviews, and compliance assessments related to configuration and change control.
