• Establish foundational FP&A processes, systems, and reporting frameworks from the ground up • Create standardized monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive leadership team • Develop and oversee the budgeting processes for all business lines and operating functions, ensuring efficient resource allocation • Build and enhance financial models to support scenario analysis, anticipate future business and financial trends, and inform decision-making • Build relationships with practice and operations leaders to become a trusted business partner; gather and synthesize input for financial plans and projections • Partner with the leadership team to translate strategic plans into actionable budgets and key performance indicators (KPIs) • Monitor firm performance, spot trends, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to drive results • Identify and help mitigate financial risks associated with operations and client engagements • Develop and analyze pricing models to help drive pricing strategies that reflect the value of services, align with market trends, meet client needs, and ensure profitability • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting • Assess and implement advanced reporting and business intelligence tools to enhance performance measurement and transparency • Proactively support digital transformation projects to help modernize processes and technologies within the finance function and across the firm, including evaluating opportunities for automation and AI deployment • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, deal structuring, and post-merger integration • Improve financial literacy across the organization through training and ongoing engagement with non-finance Porters • Develop recommendations for future FP&A team structure and staffing needs as the firm scales • Help build a culture of analytical rigor and data-driven decision-making across the organization
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
- MBA or CFA is a plus
- 6-10 years of progressive FP&A experience, including 2-4 years in a leadership role
- Prior professional services or law firm experience is a plus
- Demonstrated experience establishing or significantly revamping budgeting and forecasting processes
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling
- Proficiency with financial systems/ERP software and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI)
- Experience integrating data across multiple platforms required
- Familiarity with Salesforce-based systems is a strong plus (Litify, Accounting Seed)
