Associate Director, SBU CORE Lead – Mission Systems

• Partner with the Mission System business leaders to understand their most important requirements • Help drive appropriate improvement strategies based on current opportunities outlined in Mission Systems Goal Alignment • Work and mentor with a team of selected Operational Excellence Leaders to set short term and long-term goals and objectives for Mission Systems ( MiS ) CORE & Lean maturity • Partner with Missions Engineering and Quality Team members, Operational Excellence Leaders as a change agent on execution of key initiatives to achieve operational results • Lead teams to resolve critical problems that involve consideration of multiple variables across multiple sites/organizations including customers and suppliers • Explain policies, practices, and procedures and influence others • Provide functional knowledge and maintain insight to current industry standard methodologies and how they can be applied • Coach plant leadership to implement the Lean Operating System and assist Operations leaders to develop self- sufficiency within sites • Positively affect KPI change, including, but not limited to: Lead Time (Days to Manufacture) decreases, On Time Start increases, Productivity increases, SRR Reduction, Schedule Stabilization improvement, Inventory reduction/optimization, Percent of parts with a Plan for Every Part

Job Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
  • Demonstrated performance and results leading initiatives to support manufacturing
  • Experiencing designing and implementing strategic plans to improve the business
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high impact teams
  • Ability to work with technical teams in a global business
  • Able to craft clear communication to a broad audience, including Executives
  • Experience with MS Office products including Visio
  • Continuous Improvement certification is preferred, i.e. Lean/ACE/CORE certification, Six Sigma Black Belt, etc.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills, able to identify and structure issues, and create recommendations/solutions

Role Description The primary role of the Insights Director is to manage and provide disease area expertise in the end-to-end insights generation process, using our proprietary market research data and to drive client interactions and business development in the therapy area.
