Job Description

Director of Utilities

Havenpark Communities

• Establish and scale the Utilities Department. • Build and manage a network of utility contractors and service providers. • Develop standard operating procedures and maintenance schedules. • Serve as utility expert for all relevant infrastructure. • Oversee operations of wastewater treatment plants and other utility assets. • Implement asset management strategies. • Ensure compliance with regulations. • Develop long-term utility infrastructure plans. • Foster collaboration with community teams.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Utility Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PE license, Wastewater or Water Operator Certification) are highly desirable.
  • 10+ years of experience in utility infrastructure, public works, or municipal utility operations.
  • Deep technical expertise in water, wastewater, and electric/gas systems.
  • Proven track record in regulatory compliance and utility operations.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams, preferably in a utility or engineering environment.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
