Inside Sales Diagnostic Specialist

IDEXX Laboratories

• Prospecting, qualifying leads, and closing sales for IDEXX’s Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal businesses through phone, email, and virtual meetings with customers. • Collaborating with the field-based Veterinary Diagnostic Consultants (VDCs) in assigned geography to agree on and prioritize opportunities to generate revenue. • Building strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and present tailored solutions. • Partnering with the broader commercial ecosystem to ensure successful implementation and conversion of different growth initiatives. • Leading IDEXX Rapid Assay, Chemistry, and Fecal product sales conversations within assigned territory. • Developing, implementing, and maintaining leads for the IDEXX field sales ecosystem for the assigned territory. • Collaborating with Companion Animal Group (CAG) Commercial field team to ensure adoption, utilization, and conversion of IDEXX products and services. • Delivering relevant customer training and education to achieve sales goals. • Consistently achieving quarterly & annual quotas.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience selling products and/or services to customers almost exclusively via telephone and internet (e.g., chat, email, video conferencing, etc.)
  • Candidates in MST or PST are preferred.
  • Diagnostic or life sciences sales preferred.
  • Experience developing new accounts and/or generating new business from existing accounts.
  • Executes core activities with some assistance / guidance from manager.
  • Experience pursuing sales leads within assigned territory, defined by geographic area, industry, or product/service segment in alignment with field ecosystem.
  • Experience executing sales strategy, identifying new opportunities/leads, and leveraging sales tools to deliver sales outcomes.

Role Description We are looking for an Inside Sales Representative (Remote) who will join our team. The Inside Sales Representative will support the National Accounts & Hardware Sales Business Development team. The inside sales representative will be responsible for providing direct support to over 200 stores that total over $3M in total invoice sales. The ISRs will manage current accounts that purchase Scotts Miracle-Gro products, as well as responsibility for growing sales by prospecting new stores and developing growth plans and strategies for all accounts. In this role you will: - Take inbound and make outbound calls to acquire new customers (past business accounts and generating leads for new accounts), increase invoice sales, and retain current volume while building long term relationships with those customers. - Use data to analyze, create recommended orders, and submit orders into internal order writing programs. - Ensure collaboration with customer field teams, distributor partners, as well as internal field sales representatives. - Manage and process promotional dollars, trade funds, COOP funds, and other creative ways to drive POS and consumer traffic to their customers. - Responsible for the order all the way from prospecting the business to delivery of products to the customer (take order, place the order in the system, monitoring delivery to customer OTIF, manage customer expectations and resolve any issues with both internal and external groups). - Create & distribute marketing materials (physical & virtual forms) for customers to use in store & online to drive retail sales and consumer traffic.
