Svante
• lead the owner’s engineering and construction function for Svante Development Inc. • ensure the successful technical design and delivery of major carbon‑capture capital projects • oversee project execution across pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC(M) stages • establish engineering and construction procedures • work closely with a small internal team and external service providers • act as DevCo’s representative with engineering firms, equipment vendors, construction companies, project partners, and the Svante Solutions business unit • bridge commercial and technical considerations, particularly for first‑of‑a‑kind deployments of Svante’s carbon‑capture technologies
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of engineering and construction experience in project‑based industries such as carbon capture, renewable energy, oil & gas, or large industrial capital projects
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering (or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience)
- strong experience across pre‑FEED, FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC(M) delivery
- working with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) models
- strong commercial acumen with proven ability to navigate capital budgeting, contracting strategies, risk management, and complex negotiations
- excellent communication skills and experience engaging customers, vendors, regulators, investors, host communities, and Indigenous communities
- able to set priorities, lead in dynamic environments, and make decisions in complex or ambiguous situations
- strong organizational, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities
- able to travel up to 40% for sites, service providers, and periodic visits to Svante’s Burnaby HQ

Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or similar. - At least 12 years of progressive experience in engineering design and/or project leadership experience. - At least 8 years of experience in the nuclear industry/safety critical industry or equivalent large scale new build experience in the power industry.
