Role Description Cox Fleet is currently hiring a Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician to join our recently acquired company, Corcoran Fleet Services, to support our combined future growth. The Light/Medium Duty Automotive Technician will be responsible for: - Performing Preventative Maintenance inspections, light and follow-up repairs, light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, licensed DOT inspections, and other duties as assigned at customer locations. - Continuing to learn additional advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques. - Complying with all company policies and achieving high level performance metrics. - Working on various light/medium duty vehicles such as F150, F250, and F350, including some specialty equipment. - Traveling 100% of the time to service multiple customers in your area and around the state. - Following a rotating schedule of Mon-Fri the first week and Mon-Sat the second week (Home every day). - Working in a Flat Rate Position with an abundance of work available. Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED preferred. - Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required. - Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties. - Minimum of one (1) year of experience as an Automotive Technician on light/medium vehicle repair or equivalent combination of technical education/certifications/skill/experiences. - 2 years of equivalent experience in a similar capacity Technician role. - Participate in and complete all-in company required training. Requirements - Always follow and comply with safe operating practices and procedures. - Travel to and perform work at customer locations, with most of the work performed outside. - Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (“PM”), DOT Inspections and follow up repairs on light and medium vehicles in the field. - Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment. - Use hand tools, precision instruments, as well as some Diesel tools, lifts, and jacks. - Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of vehicles, trucks, and equipment. - Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions. - Document according to company standards and upload pictures of work performed, parts used, and all findings observed on Repair Orders (“RO”). - Maintain a clean and safe work environment. - Act with integrity, demonstrate honesty and keep commitments. - Maintain assigned service vehicle, conduct safety checks and daily pre/post trip inspections. - Adhere to company policies, processes, and procedures. Role Functions: - Delivers design studies (independently and in teams) to solve technical or consumer issues found in the development of a product. - Communicate ideas quickly and effectively using a combination of sketching, CAD layouts, 3D models and working prototypes to evaluate potential solutions. - Takes direction on designs through conception, CAD execution, prototyping and verification, whilst consistently working at pace. - Applies sound engineering standards to deliver real solutions. - Communicates effectively and professionally with colleagues. - Supports other team members and encourages their efforts. - Collaborates seamlessly with our UK and China based Product Development teams to ensure that great ideas make it through. Requirements - Degree level technical qualification, ideally Mechanical Engineering, Product or Industrial Design Engineering. - Typically, 1-3 years proven experience in Mechanical/ Product Design/ Industrial Design environment. - Experience in the consumer goods household appliance space desirable - Experience in plastic manufacturing processes desirable - Experience of delivering real world products to market - Uses Solidworks or Creo to a proficient level. - Identify, solve, implement and verify technical solutions autonomously as part of a team. - Can operate (with training) in the lab; building of prototypes, product testing in the lab, developing and reporting. - Flexible and collaborative - these are key to success at SharkNinja. - Positive attitude with an entrepreneurial nature. - Appreciation for electrical engineering, software and UX design helpful but not essential.
