Role Description Symbotic is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst responsible for the implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of serialization and asset tracking processes across deployed systems, components, and service assets. This role ensures accurate asset identification, lifecycle traceability, and system data integrity to support effective service execution, warranty validation, customer billing, and maintenance cost recovery. The Inventory Control Analyst is part of the Service Operations organization and supports warranty and post-system delivery service activities across customer sites. This role works cross-functionally with external customers and internal business functions, including Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Finance, and Customer Operations, to ensure timely claim resolution, accurate cost recovery, and consistent application of warranty policies and contractual obligations. What you’ll do: - Serve as the primary owner of serialization and asset tracking processes for service- and warranty-relevant equipment, components, and assets across customer sites. - Maintain accurate and complete serialization records, ensuring assets are correctly identified, tracked, and linked to customer sites, contracts, and warranty coverage. - Ensure serialized asset data is properly captured and maintained within enterprise systems to support accurate billing, warranty eligibility validation, and supplier cost recovery. - Partner with Service, Supply Chain, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support asset identification during service events, repairs, replacements, and post-system delivery activities. - Work closely with Supply Chain and Logistics to ensure serialized material movements (shipments, returns, repairs, and replacements) are accurately tracked and reconciled. - Support Finance and Customer Operations by ensuring serialized asset data supports invoicing, warranty recovery, and internal financial controls. - Support system enhancements, integrations, and process improvements related to asset tracking, working with IT and system owners as needed. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain management, industrial engineering, information systems, operations management, or a related field; equivalent relevant work experience may be considered. - Minimum 3–5 years of experience in asset tracking, serialization, service operations, warranty administration, supply chain, or related operational roles. - Experience working with enterprise systems (ERP, service management, asset management, or tracking systems); SAP experience is a plus. - Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and validate large volumes of asset and transactional data. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical teams. - Strong problem-solving skills and a structured, process-oriented mindset. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with reporting or analytics tools is a plus. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a broader service operations team. Requirements - Up to 10% travel may be required to customer or internal locations. - Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly as needed. - The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally, to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis in accordance with company policy. The base range for this position in the posted location is $71,000.00 - $97,900.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
