• Own the month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable cycles, including vendor payments and customer invoicing • Oversee revenue recognition processes, ensuring alignment with ASC 606 • Help prepare monthly financial statements and management reports • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and automate manual processes • Strengthen internal controls and ensure adherence to financial policies • Partner with Sales and Operations to validate revenue and expenses • Communicate clearly and proactively in a remote‑first environment
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition standards
- Advanced proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication
- CPA or CPA‑track preferred
- Experience in a startup or high‑growth company preferred
- Experience in a SaaS, ad‑tech, or tech‑driven environment preferred
- Familiarity with automated AP/AR tools, CRM integrations, or BI dashboards preferred
