This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description This is a senior IC role with product involvement. You'll own features end to end — backend and frontend — from understanding the problem with stakeholders to shipping the solution in production. - Ship features across the full stack — Rails APIs, background jobs, database design on the backend; React/Next.js components, state management, and UI on the frontend - Work directly with stakeholders — understand the problem, help define the scope, and make pragmatic calls about what to build and what to skip - Move fast with AI — use AI tooling to compress cycle time on implementation, testing, and iteration - Design and optimize database schemas and queries (PostgreSQL) — write migrations, indexes, and queries that perform at scale - Build and consume RESTful APIs — implement backend endpoints and integrate them into the frontend cleanly - Ensure quality across the stack — write tests, participate in code reviews, and maintain security, performance, and reliability standards - Contribute to architecture — help shape technical decisions on Rails, React, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, and related infrastructure Qualifications - Strong Ruby on Rails expertise — you've built and shipped production Rails applications and know the framework well (PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, Active Job, etc.) - Solid frontend skills — you're comfortable building UI in React/Next.js with TypeScript. You don't need to be a designer, but you can implement clean, functional interfaces from specs or mockups - Product awareness — you care about whether the thing you're building actually solves the problem. You ask good questions, push back on scope when it doesn't make sense, and think about the user, not just the code - AI-assisted development — you're already using AI tooling to ship faster and you're looking to push that further - Startup speed — you're comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and making decisions with incomplete information. You ship, learn, and adjust - Full-stack ownership — you don't throw work over a wall. You own features from database to UI and take pride in the whole thing working Requirements - Up to $350,000 max total compensation in Tier 1 cities; cash and equity components to be negotiated (amount reflects combined cash and equity components) Company Description - The First Team to Execute Captures Everything - There's a massive growth hack hiding in plain sight—and it can only be used once. - Signal: Multi-Trillion Dollar TAM - Global market opportunity across multiple high-value sectors - Category Creation - Not disrupting existing markets, creating entirely new infrastructure category - Macro-Resilient Model - Business grows during recessions, job displacement, and AI automation cycles - Experienced Founder - 25-year serial entrepreneur and former CTO with proven track record - Established Team - 13 experienced professionals committed with equity-only compensation - Stealth Mode Advantage - Currently operating under the radar to build competitive moat - Network Effects Day One - Winner-takes-all dynamics with immediate compounding effects - Ultra Low CAC - Efficient customer acquisition through network-driven growth model - AI-Native Organization - Built from day one with advanced AI capabilities and no legacy baggage
