Oracle Database Administrator

NOVA Corporation

• Work with DBA Team to provide technical direction on integration of MROi solution components with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (aka OCI), Cloud One and ERP Common Services. • Installation, cloning, configuration and integration of Oracle E-Business Suite (eBS) 12.2 with Oracle RDBMS 12c/19c, technical stack and custom-developed objects; monitor and troubleshoot and optimize the eBS application/database. • Provides support to the MROi System Implementer, MROi Integrated Program Office (IPO) and other AFLCMC/PEO BES programs, relating to the architecture, design, installation, configuration, integration of products and services, performance and operations of the MROi software solution components. • Assists ERP Common Services, PMO architects, System Implementer and PMO developers to instantiate and maintain multiple eBS instances and applicable technology stack components in all DISA environments (development, test, training, reporting and production). • System monitoring, performance tuning, load balancing and capacity planning. • Tracking and monitoring the development, test, training, reporting and production environments, support issue resolution. • Implementation and maintenance of application and database security. • Interface with Oracle Support for technical issue resolution. • Assist development and support staff with analysis of query execution plans and cost. • Experience around the change management process. • Work with Team of Oracle Application DBAs to support user community.

Job Requirements

  • Current Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • DoD 8570 certification
  • BS/BA in Information Technology or related technical discipline
  • 3+ years’ experience within Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) R12.2 application environment both Technical and System Administrator Responsibilities.
  • Database 12c/19c (Installation, Cloning, configuration, upgrade and patching)
  • Working experience in Linux and/or Solaris
  • Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP (Preferred)
  • Experience working with the US Air Force (Preferred)
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Associate/Advanced level certification will be a big plus (Preferred)
  • Oracle Database 12c/19c Certified Professional Certification (Preferred)
  • Oracle E-Business Suite Certification (Preferred)
  • Experience working with virtual, blended and separate subcontractor teams (Preferred)

Position Overview The Database Administrator will build, support, administer, and sustain a clustered-server database platform hosted in an enterprise IT environment. In this role, the Database Administrator will provide technical support for incident response, service degradations, outages, and other service interruptions. In addition, the Database Administrator will investigate hardware and software problems related to the database-hosting infrastructure and perform corrective actions. Major Activities - Architect, design, engineer, and document database servers and associated infrastructure in clustered, stand-alone, and/or appliance-hosted configurations, which fulfill mission requirements, service specifications, and cyber security mandates - Perform all Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) hardening and configurations for all STIGs that apply to the system hosting the Database.
