Senior Director – Customer Logistics, Freight Brokerage

Ryder System, Inc.

• responsible for the financials, profit and loss responsibility and sales and account growth within a geographical area • lead our invoicing, auditing and payment function within our freight brokerage business unit • build and maintain relationships with appropriate levels in the customer's organization • represent Ryder in customer meetings and presentations to drive retention and growth • support the sales process by participating in business development opportunities with new customers • embrace the corporate vision, mission, philosophy and leads by example • create a positive, innovative and results oriented environment • manage the operation to ensure goals are achieved • foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement • support the Group Director in the strategic development and management of the assigned objectives • ensure the effective selection, placement, development and retention of talent to meet current and future business needs • train, supervise and coach/mentor direct reports and management team • forecast, plan, manage and ensure locations meet defined financial targets • monitor and hold operations accountable for maintaining a safety culture that meets or exceeds annual safety targets

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or related field or an additional two (2) related experience required
  • Ten (10) years or more logistics/supply chain experience in multiple locations i.e. plants, warehouses, locations, transportation hubs, etc. required
  • Five (5) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required
  • Five (5) years or more P&L responsibility including forecasting and managing financial targets required
  • Six (6) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
  • Six (6) years or more managing large multi-level teams required
  • Four (4) years or more managing customer relationship and interaction required
  • Four (4) years or more managing customer KPIs required
  • Three (3) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred
  • Solid knowledge of Integrated Supply Chain Management and Components, distribution, sales and demonstrated knowledge of Profit and Loss (P&L) performance advanced required
  • Distribution and carrier management knowledge advanced preferred

What you’ll do: - Drive End-to-End Partnership Lifecycle: Serve as the executive point person for key channel relationships, responsible for identifying, negotiating, and managing complex partnership agreements and contracts. - Lead Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with internal teams to align partner priorities and strategies with business goals, integrating existing partnership threads across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product into one cohesive, high-impact partnership. - Own Indirect Revenue & Performance: Own the global indirect revenue forecast and all associated co-sell, resell programs. Qualifications - 10+ years of total professional experience, with a minimum of 6+ years directly owning Channel Partnerships, Strategic Alliances, or Business Development for a B2B SaaS platform. - Experience with building, developing and growing channel partnerships and relevant programs that deliver long term revenue growth and customer/partner satisfaction. - Consistent track record of exceeding revenue targets and business objectives. - Outstanding interpersonal skills, business judgment, strong communication, and demonstrated ability to generate action and drive outcomes through influence and engagement. - A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, working cross-functionally in a high growth business landscape, and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor's degree required; candidates with an MBA, previous SaaS or software experience, knowledge of global distributors and/or public sector channels, or strategic understanding of the construction industry market are a plus.
