Controller – Full-Cycle Accounting, AP & AR

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process • Prepare financial statements and internal management reports • Ensure financial reporting complies with U.S. GAAP • Coordinate and support year-end audits • Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable operations • Manage cash flow, credit/collections, and supplier payments • Analyze key financial metrics such as margins, inventory levels, receivables, and capital expenditures • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes • Work with leadership to provide financial insights for business decisions • Support ERP system improvements and financial automation • Ensure tax compliance with external advisors • Participate in special financial projects and business initiatives

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of financial management or accounting leadership experience
  • Prior Controller experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • CPA preferred (relevant experience may substitute)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Experience managing both AP and AR functions
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online and ConnectWise is a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Role Description Working as an Operations Controller you will be responsible for the accounting activity and assessing the financial performance within an assigned account(s) and assisting the Senior Director of Finance with all aspects of the financial activities that occur within the region. - Leads the financial planning & analysis function at the account, including the development of sound annual budgets linked to operational assumptions, forecasts, and the supporting processes required to measure actual performance vs budgets and forecasts, and identify risk and opportunities. - Improves financial performance by analyzing results, monitoring variances, and identifying trends; providing performance guidelines and recommendations to management as appropriate. - Manages the weekly flash process at the account, partnering with field operators to determine accuracy and reports to management on the financial standing of the account vs the budget. - Ensures the accuracy of financial statements during the month-end close by reconciling transactions and comparing and correcting data. - Creates client-facing presentations summarizing financial performance, operational metrics, and financial forecasts. - Completes financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports, including but not limited to monthly and fiscal close, internal and external audit reporting; manages report preparation and distribution. - Reviews general ledger and balance sheets. - Resolves various accounting/reconciliation issues. - Ensures all Accounts Receivables are managed in an efficient manner. - Maintains inventory and cost control procedures. - Ensures contract compliance. - Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
