Elsevier created its Rising TIDE internship program to foster inclusion and provide individuals with work experience in the corporate world so that we can develop a pipeline of talent for entry-level individuals for post-graduation opportunities. As a Knowledge & AI Optimization Intern, you will play a key role in improving the self-service experience for internal and external customers. This involves: - Maintaining and enhancing our knowledge base (KB) and AI-driven systems to deliver accurate, accessible, and user-friendly content. - Reducing avoidable customer queries and improving satisfaction. - Supporting responsible AI practices. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams. - Analyzing data to generate actionable insights. - Contributing to strategic initiatives aligned with organizational goals and ethical standards. Qualifications - Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data analytics, data science, software engineering, or a related field of study with a graduation date of May 2027. - Demonstrate understanding of AI concepts, machine learning techniques, and Natural Language Processing (NLP). - Possess proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R for AI model development. - Experience with data processing, analysis, and familiarity with big data tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure). - Effective communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and concisely. - Customer-focused mindset and structured approach to problem-solving. - Able to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized processes. - Fluent in English and comfortable with digital tools and emerging technology trends. Job Requirements
