The Cloud Device Management Engineer will design, implement and support secure, scalable endpoint management primarily for macOS and iOS/iPadOS devices and a small subset of Androids. This role will lead MDM and MAM solutions via Microsoft Intune, integrate and optimize Jamf, and operationalize Apple Business Manager (ABM/ASM) for automated enrollment, app licensing and device lifecycle. The ideal candidate will pair deep Apple platform expertise with automation-first mindset and have a broad knowledge in all aspects of Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure AD, strong scripting skills and a track record of delivering frictionless, secure associate experiences. Location: Remote, US Role qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience and 3+ years experience in IT Infrastructure and End User Support. - Solid knowledge and understanding of cloud-based systems (Jamf, Intune, M365), security requirements, infrastructure, systems administration, application systems, networking and computing devices. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, OneNote, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Outlook). - Strong hands-on experience and proficiency with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, and understanding of macOS and iOS operating systems, hardware and tools. - Experience with scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting. - Familiarity with identity and access management (IAM), SSO, networking, and security in cloud contexts. - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. - Strong documentation and governance mindset. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment under minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred certifications: Jamf 200 or 300 certification, Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) or Apple Certified IT Professional (ACiT), MD-102 Microsoft 365 Endpoint Administrator. - Experience with enterprise networking, VPN, and security tools. - Experience with ITIL practices and ticketing systems (ServiceNow) and managing in an Agile environment utilizing Jira for work organization and completion. What you will be doing: - Design and maintain Apple and Android device management architecture across Intune (MDM & App Protection/MAM) and administer Jamf Pro, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and user experience goals. - Define enrollment strategies (ADE/DEP or AMAPI), ownership models (corporate vs BYOD), and policy baselines for macOS/iOS/iPadOS/Android. - Operationalize Zero Touch provisioning via Automated Device Enrollment (ADE); integrate with Azure AD/Entra ID, endpoint protection and inventory systems. - Build and manage configuration profiles, compliance policies, conditional access, device restrictions, Wi Fi/VPN, certificates (SCEP/PKCS), and app protection policies for iOS/iPadOS/Androids. - Partner with IT Support teams, Security, Networking, and end users to ensure optimal device performance. Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement. - Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps in knowledge bases. Translate business requirements into efficient and effective technical solutions. - Project delivery – Ensures that project plans are developed for initiatives, updates are communicated, and milestones are met. Ensure delivery of expected business benefits on time and within budget. - Teamwork – Serve as a resource and mentor in assigned daily support/operations and deployments and ensure solutions meet business requirements, scalability, and established metrics (SLAs). Consults and advises leadership, project teams, support teams and end users on how to optimize corporate systems and platforms. - Build and sustain vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and manage software licensing as assigned. - Responsible and accountable for proactive communication and notifications regarding issues and meeting internal customer needs. Communicates plans, project process/status and critical issues to management and team. - Observability and Metrics - build and maintain dashboard metrics on environment health and productivity for both IT and business consumption. - Participate in On-Call rotation and assist in incident troubleshooting for prompt mitigation of issues. - This role is primarily remote; however, occasional travel to our Jacksonville, FL office may be required to support team collaboration or business needs. - Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
