Role Description inquirED is looking for dynamic, passionate educators to join our team as part-time contractors. You’ll deliver both in-person and virtual professional development, using pre-designed workshops and our comprehensive resources to help educators implement inquirED’s social studies curriculum with confidence and success. If you’re eager to use your teaching expertise to inspire fellow educators and support their growth, this opportunity is for you! - Become Certified: Complete onboarding (asynchronous courses and live virtual meetings) to earn certification as a contract facilitator. - Manage Session Logistics: Handle pre- and post-session tasks, including detailed session notes and coordination with the inquirED team. - Lead Professional Development: Facilitate engaging and impactful virtual and in-person sessions for educators, using inquirED’s facilitation guides and resources. - Empower Educators: Onboard teachers to inquirED’s curriculum, creating an open, collaborative learning environment that equips educators to confidently implement the curriculum and adapt it to meet diverse classroom needs. - Grow Your Skills: Participate in ongoing professional development, receiving coaching and feedback to sharpen your facilitation techniques. Qualifications - US-Based Educator: You live in the US and have a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of teaching experience in K–12 education. - Driven and Reliable: You are disciplined, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, consistently meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work. - Facilitation Expert: You have experience leading professional learning workshops, with a deep understanding of adult learning principles. - Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with virtual platforms like Zoom and Google Suite, and you have access to a personal laptop. - Willing to Travel: You’re open to occasional travel for in-person workshops. - Passionate about Social Studies: You believe in the power of inquirED’s social studies curriculum and are excited to help teachers implement it effectively. Requirements - Inspiring Work: Facilitate pre-designed, in-person workshops to improve outcomes for educators and students. - Collaborative Opportunities: Co-facilitate sessions with other experienced educators. - Flexible Schedule: While there are no guaranteed hours, peak facilitation opportunities are available from January to February and August to October with occasional sessions throughout the year. Sessions may be scheduled during the school day, after school hours, or on weekends to accommodate district needs. Benefits - $700 per full-day in-person workshop, with travel, lodging, and meals reimbursed, with prior approval. - $50/hour for virtual session facilitation. - $20/hour for onboarding and training activities (approximately 20 hours). - Must be U.S. based.
