• Own the execution of Food Safety and Quality programs at third-party manufacturing partners • Lead Root Cause Analysis and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) in response to quality or food safety issues • Provide practical food safety expertise and guidance to support manufacturing site operations • Oversee the implementation and ongoing optimization of The Farmer’s Dog microbiological program, including risk assessments and compliance monitoring • Support investigations and resolution of escalated complaints involving key regulatory agencies (e.g., USDA, FDA, AAFCO) • Make complex, risk-based food safety decisions that ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards while enabling reliable product delivery • Conduct food safety, quality, and regulatory risk assessments and audits for new manufacturing partners, suppliers, and fulfillment centers • Analyze data to identify trends and issues, using insights to guide food safety and quality improvements and cross-functional education • Monitor and evaluate contract manufacturers to ensure alignment with The Farmer’s Dog food safety and quality standards • Demonstrate a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex food safety and quality challenges • Apply strong communication and influencing skills to implement effective problem resolution • Lead cross-functional teams to drive adherence to food safety initiatives, CAPA execution, and process improvements at contract manufacturers • Direct day-to-day food safety and quality activities within assigned areas of responsibility • Engage and coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and high food safety standards • Exhibit strong project management capabilities across multiple concurrent initiatives • Display confidence and sound judgment in making and defending tough decisions • Collaborate effectively with co-manufacturers, supplier QA teams, product development partners, and third-party service providers • Provide technical data and decision-making support on issues related to food safety and product quality • Partner with the Sr. Manager, Quality Engineer and cross-functional teams to apply early management tools to all new product launches

• Supervise and develop a team of Quality Engineers, coordinating their activities to support company and departmental goals • Build team capability through mentoring, coaching, and fostering technical expertise in regulated medical device development • Manage workload distribution and prioritization across multiple concurrent projects and initiatives • Drive performance management, providing regular feedback and creating development opportunities • Partner with engineering leadership to guide Software, Machine Learning, and Hardware teams through new product development and sustaining engineering • Champion the least burdensome approach to compliance while maintaining regulatory integrity • Drive process improvements across the quality management system to enhance efficiency and effectiveness • Represent Quality in executive-level discussions, audits, and regulatory interactions • Serve as SME for hardware and software compliance processes across design, manufacturing, product release, and post-market support • Lead product release coordination in collaboration with engineering and manufacturing teams • Oversee Software Tool Validation program to meet regulatory and operational requirements • Represent Beacon in second-party (customer) and third-party audits (ISO auditors) and regulatory inspections • Drive MDR compliance and CE marking initiatives for Beacon products • Stay current on international standards and regulations, ensuring organizational awareness • Act as quality and compliance consultant for engineering, machine learning, and manufacturing teams throughout design and process control • Ensure timely project delivery on time, within scope, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements

• Develop, document, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality, data accuracy, and system behavior against requirements. • Collaborate with business analysts and development teams to understand requirements and user stories, ensuring appropriate test coverage and traceability. • Identify, document, track, and validate resolution of defects using lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps. • Create and maintain automated test scripts and regression test suites to improve testing efficiency and repeatability. • Perform Section 508 and accessibility compliance testing using tools such as ANDI, Color Contrast Checker, CommonLook, or similar accessibility evaluation tools. • Assist in performance, integration, and system testing activities to ensure software meets functional and non-functional requirements. • Generate test reports, document findings, and communicate testing status and risks to project teams and stakeholders. • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to support continuous delivery. • Contribute to improving QA processes, test methodologies, and automation practices. • Works under moderate supervision with guidance from senior personnel.

• Lead the design and execution of comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test frameworks to ensure software quality across enterprise systems and data-driven applications. • Partner with business analysts, product owners, and developers to ensure requirements are testable, define acceptance criteria, and maintain end-to-end traceability using Azure DevOps. • Lead manual and automated testing activities, ensuring adequate test coverage across functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing. • Oversee defect lifecycle management using Azure DevOps, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritization, root-cause analysis, and resolution verification. • Design, implement, and maintain scalable automated test frameworks and regression suites to improve testing efficiency and support continuous integration pipelines. • Lead Section 508 and accessibility compliance testing using tools such as ANDI, Color Contrast Checker, CommonLook, and similar evaluation tools to ensure applications meet federal accessibility requirements. • Plan and oversee performance, load, and integration testing to validate system scalability, stability, and reliability. • Provide quality status reporting, risk assessments, and release readiness recommendations to project leadership and stakeholders. • Serve as a quality advocate within Agile/Scrum teams, participating in sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Mentor mid-level and junior QA staff, establish QA best practices, and support continuous improvement of testing processes and standards. • Identify and implement improvements to QA methodologies, automation practices, and toolchains. • Works under minimal supervision with minor guidance from senior personnel.
