Role Description Genesis Consulting is seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Training Lead with a passion for growth and business transformation. The Training Lead will design and execute the enterprise-wide training strategy supporting implementation of a new automated, web-based Travel Management System (TMS) built on SAP Concur for a Federal client. The Training Lead will ensure that all travelers and support personnel are fully prepared to transition from the current travel system to SAP Concur, enabling seamless travel booking, approval routing, and automated reimbursement processing. This role is critical to achieving user proficiency, minimizing disruption, and ensuring compliance with travel policies and federal regulations. Duties and Responsibilities - Training Strategy & Planning - Develop and execute a comprehensive, role-based training strategy aligned to system design, deployment waves, and divisional approval hierarchies. - Conduct training needs assessments for all traveler types, including frequent travelers, infrequent travelers, travel arrangers, approvers, finance personnel, and auditors. - Establish a training governance structure and delivery schedule to support phased rollout across 14 divisions. - Curriculum Development - Design and develop training materials tailored to travel processes, including: - Travel Authorization (TA) creation and approval routing - Online travel booking through the GDS-connected platform - Automated reimbursement claim submission - Compliance checkpoints and audit documentation - Create instructor-led training materials, eLearning modules, quick reference guides, job aids, FAQs, and recorded tutorials. - Ensure training content reflects client-specific workflows, funding structures, and integration touchpoints. - Delivery & Facilitation - Lead live and virtual instructor-led training sessions. - Coordinate division-specific training sessions aligned to approval hierarchies and operational nuances. - Provide executive-level overview sessions for senior leadership and division heads. - Prepare the customer service support desk to respond to post-go-live inquiries. - System & Integration Awareness - Collaborate with functional and technical teams to ensure training reflects system integrations with monitoring systems, reimbursement systems, and travel claim audit services. - Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate training scenarios and materials against final system configuration. - Adoption & Post-Go-Live Support - Develop knowledge transfer plans for internal support teams. - Monitor adoption metrics, training attendance, and help desk trends post-deployment. - Refine training materials based on user feedback and system enhancements. - Maintain updated documentation aligned with system releases and configuration updates. Qualifications - Minimum 5 years of experience leading enterprise training initiatives for ERP or SaaS implementations. - Demonstrated experience delivering training in federal or highly regulated environments. - Experience with SAP Concur or comparable travel and expense systems. - Proven ability to develop role-based training programs for large, multi-division organizations (2,000+ users). - Strong understanding of federal travel processes, including Travel Authorizations and reimbursement workflows. - Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
