Role Description Sabot Consulting is seeking a Project Manager that will support the Workers’ Compensation System Modernization Program by managing large, complex IT and business modernization initiatives within a public-sector environment. This role is responsible for planning, executing, and controlling one or more large projects or sub-projects within the portfolio. - Plan, manage, and execute large projects or multiple interrelated sub-projects within the WCSM Program portfolio. - Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria. - Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work plans, and integrated timelines aligned with program-level roadmaps. - Coordinate and oversee project resources, including state staff, contractors, and vendors. - Monitor and manage project progress, ensuring work remains on the critical path and adjusting plans as necessary. - Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and assumptions; escalate items appropriately through program governance. - Support project-level budget tracking and expenditure reporting in coordination with PMO and fiscal staff. - Ensure accurate and timely project status reporting to stakeholders, governance bodies, and oversight partners. - Support project governance processes, including change control, decision documentation, and escalation preparation. - Collaborate with contracted vendors to ensure deliverables meet contractual and quality expectations. - Support project closeout activities, including documentation, lessons learned, transition planning, and knowledge transfer. - Participate in stakeholder engagement activities, meetings, and communications to ensure transparency and alignment. - Support government agency stakeholders by translating business needs into clearly documented analytical outputs.
