Senior Data Analyst
Gorilla Commerce
• Build, streamline, and automate recurring data models and reporting processes to reduce manual workload. • Own large, complex financial and operational datasets (NetSuite, marketplace reports, external files) and translate them into usable formats. • Develop sophisticated Excel and/or BI dashboards (Power BI etc.) for financial and operational performance tracking. • Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to provide analytical support for key business questions (COGS allocation, SKU profitability, channel analysis, etc.). • Support month-end and quarter-end reporting by structuring large data extracts into reconciled reporting packages. • Assist in variance analyses across sales channels, products, and cost drivers to identify risks and opportunities. • Identify inefficiencies in current manual processes and propose/implement data-driven solutions. • Support automation initiatives that enable scalability of reporting and analysis. • Collaborate cross-functionally (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, IT) to ensure data integrity and improve upstream inputs. • Take a leading role in ad hoc data pulls and analysis to support decision-making. • Assist in the preparation of financial presentations (financial views, slides, etc.) • Provide support for strategic projects e.g., pricing automation, channel expansion etc.
Job Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics and/or finance/accounting support.
- E-commerce / CPG experience preferred.
- Advanced financial modelling skills in Excel with coding experience being a plus.
- Experience working with large datasets (NetSuite, Power BI, SQL or similar systems).
- Demonstrates strong analytical skill and critical thinking, working well with messy datasets.
- Basic understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and business processes.
- Intellectually curious with an ability to easily grasp new concepts.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and working independently with limited supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
