We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a grants management contract for a state agency funding cancer research and prevention programs. The Project Manager will be responsible for all facets of execution, working collaboratively with the team's Scientific Director, Technical Lead and deputy PM to ensure timely delivery of results that meet or exceed customer expectations and internal performance metrics. In addition to ensuring the overall success of this contract, the PM will be the primary liaison between the agile software development team and the client, ensuring appropriate oversight, stakeholder engagement and prioritization of all IT work.programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as a Program Manager . You will play a crucial role in managing the full range of services provided by GDIT, including: - Leading or managing all interactions with the client and other stakeholders, demonstrating project control and creating goodwill and client confidence; - Establishing annual budgets, price proposals, forecasts, and schedules and monitoring performance against baseline; - Coordinating the negotiation of contract modifications and subcontract awards; - Developing and managing a staffing plan; - Providing leadership for all technical aspects of contract performance (including software development, maintenance, security, hosting and documentation, and the migration of core IT applications to a new grants management platform being acquired by the agency); - Ensuring technical teams understand short term and long-term goals of the program and business efforts by facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Identifying and mitigating risks to project timelines and scope by developing and recommending corrective actions. - Developing mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders. - Coordinating activities across the team to ensure seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders; - Engagement and oversight of external consultants, vendors and subcontractors; - Communicating difficult technical topics to a variety of internal and external stakeholders; - Reporting program performance, risks and issues to corporate management; WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED The successful candidate will possess demonstrated skills in managing complex programs with significant software development and administrative components, as well as in maintaining communication with a remote customer and geographically dispersed staff.Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The likely salary range for this position is $127,500 - $172,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
