BGIS is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to support our growing Project Delivery Services organization in the US. The Senior Project Manager focused on high complexity projects, client relationships, and revenue oversight. The position may direct more than one project manager with oversight of multiple projects. The Senior Project Manager sets the example for others positively exemplifying BGIS values. Location: This Senior Project Manager position is intended to be a remote position with the candidate residing the Southeast USA. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Project Management - Lead projects from initiation to closeout. - Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work. - Oversee scheduling and coordination of internal and external resources for project completion. - Communicate with clients and project resources including subcontractors and vendors. - Document discussions, outcomes, and decisions. - Support Request for Proposal (RFP) process. - Obtain detailed knowledge of contract, drawings, and specifications for projects. - Maintain or oversee the cost issue logs. - Uphold and communicate company safety standards. - Ensure safety compliance of subcontractors and all persons on site. - Define individual project responsibilities and accountabilities. - Coordinate implementation handoffs between internal departments. - Mitigate and report on risk on behalf of the company. - Deliver accurate and timely business reports. - Manage and coordinate procurement activities for subcontracts and purchase orders. - Verify Job Start and Project Closeout materials. - Assess, define, and document agreements from clients regarding project requirements. - Manage pre-implementation process with key stakeholders and business manager. - Assess site safety and implement actions to prevent injury to property and people. - Ensure safety compliance of subcontractors and all on-site persons. - Contribute to the completion of other key initiatives as assigned. Project Controls - Take financial responsibility for project including accurate, timely, and relevant reporting to stakeholders. - Facilitate invoice payment to subcontractors and suppliers. - Prepare monthly project accounting review. - Monitor, control, and report on financial performance of projects. - Draft or oversee subcontracts and purchase agreements. - Maintain positive working relationship with external and internal key contact. - Communication - Serve as primary point of contact with client. - Facilitate communication internally between project team and other departments. - Identify, qualify, and funnel potential new service opportunities to business development team. - Direct customer requests for product functionality enhancements to the appropriate subject matter experts. - Team Management - Recruit, coach, and mentor project team members. - Develop project staffing plans to include labor and subcontractors. - Forecast project management labor requirements. - Communicate and influence company policies and procedures. Knowledge & Skills - Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Facilities Management or other relevant studies or equivalent work experience. - 8 years of experience in project management, engineering, construction, or other related field. - Experience working for a general contractor, construction services provider, or major trade subcontractor preferred. - Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts, and critical path scheduling. - Create and maintain authentic effective client relationships at a site and program level. - Basic estimating skills preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to focus diverse group of stakeholders including external clients and internal expertise on a specified project and projected out comes. - Time Management skills to balance competing priorities. - Completed OSHA 30 class preferred. - Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project. - Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. - PMP, PgMP, CPM, PE, LEED professional designations are preferred. The salary range for this position in the US is $135K A candidate’s salary offer is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, certifications, licenses, and location.
