Job Description As a Field Service Engineer for Agilent, you will work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software, and consumables is key. The ability to help with solving customer problems and a dedication to deliver the highest levels of customer service is how you will build customer success. You will support our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance, and repair of company and multi-vendor systems solutions. Our varied product lines include hardware, software, and networking products as well as operating systems. Job Requirement: Meet Agilent-approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include, but are not limited to: post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs. Your consent to participate in customer-requested screening is a requirement of this position. Location: The ideal candidate will reside within 60 miles of Oklahoma City, OK, or Tulsa OK. Territory: The person will cover the Lone Star District: TX, OK, NM, and LA. - Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites for the Gas Chromatography (GC) or Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) systems. - Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems. - Performs maintenance and repairs. - Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance. - Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business. - Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software. - May train other field engineers and customers in the solutions. Qualifications - A bachelor's or master's degree in a science field (e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar), or relevant work experience. - 4+ years of experience in a similar position or as an end-user. - Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving. - Experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) or Gas Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) systems, either as an end-user or in field service. - Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential. - Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication skills. - Willingness and ability to travel overnight up to 30% is required. - A company car will be provided for this position; therefore, a valid driver's license is required, and mileage reimbursement is optional. Additional Details This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Job Description Summary The Field Operations Manager plays an integral role in client support and account management through direct engagement with provision of services at the customers’ sites. This role works closely with multiple internal and external stakeholders to address daily client challenges, while identifying and executing opportunities to make meaningful improvements to client operations. The length of these trips varies depending on the specific needs. • Maintain professional competency, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. • If assigned, serve as Chief Operator/Engineer for one or more broadcast station(s). • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.
