• Partner across the engineering team to ensure K-LOVE's programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest quality through expert installation, maintenance, operation, updates, and intricate repairs. • Lead the operation, testing, and maintenance of advanced broadcast equipment such as audio processors, transmission systems, EAS equipment, receivers, monitors, electrical systems, and optimizing signal and sound based on Ministry guidelines. • Drive a culture of excellence by identifying opportunities to enhance system performance, reliability, and efficiency, with a focus on IP-based, modern microwave, and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite solutions. • Serve as a primary expert in diagnosing and resolving complex technical faults on equipment and systems down to the component level, utilizing advanced analytical methods. • Partner and communicate with engineers (including contract engineers) to accomplish critical objectives. • Serve as a dedicated mentor and escalation point for more junior Broadcast Engineers, fostering their technical knowledge and professional development. • Accurately complete and submit all required administrative documentation, including but not limited to timecards, expense reports, vehicle logs, budgeting documents, and other relevant records by established deadlines. • Utilize and maintain designated asset management, work order, and ticketing system software to log activities, track inventory, and update status efficiently. • Respond promptly and professionally to emails, texts, and phone calls, ensuring clear and timely communication regarding operational status, project updates, and other work-related matters. • Maintain organized digital and physical records as required for compliance and operational continuity. • Maintain an expert-level understanding of FCC rules and regulations, ensuring all equipment and operations are compliant and uphold safety standards. • Actively champion K-LOVE's Injury Prevention and Safety program, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards. • Conduct mandatory, comprehensive on-site visits to each assigned transmitter site at least once per quarter. • Provide immediate and expert response for unplanned outages, emergency repairs, and critical events requiring on-site presence. • Perform essential maintenance and troubleshooting on non-broadcast equipment (e.g., generators, HVAC, minor electrical/plumbing) ensuring complete site functionality. • Undertake necessary trips to remote sites for complex installations or critical repairs, or K-LOVE Campus for specialized training or leadership on projects. • Perform other duties as assigned.
Regional Public Affairs Manager

• Participate in significant regional travel, up to 50% (generally 30-40%) to each City of License in your assigned territory. • Visit each City of License a minimum number of times per year as outlined by Director. • Plan territory travel to complete required compliance minimums while being mindful of expenses related to travel decisions. • Document your conversations, observations and activities within each city or market as it pertains to discovering the needs and concerns of residents in each local listening area. • Develop and manage relationships with local volunteers (CCVs) in each full-powered signal City of License within the assigned region. • Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with members of local, state, and federally elected officials as it applies to the City of License compliance. • Ensure jurisdictions have access to the K-LOVE Air1 News Dept. to report life-threatening situations that should be addressed on air • Collect relevant public affairs interviews, edit and submit for air on local stations as part of the weekly Closer Look program. • Interviews will be recorded in-person or by-phone with equipment provided. • Utilize knowledge and awareness of the “K-LOVE Sound” and report any issues related to a station’s lack of performance. • Proactively discuss and troubleshoot with Signal Development and Engineering regarding performance as it relates to FCC Compliance. • Solicit and place orders with Traffic for free local Public Service Announcements (PSAs) to air in Cities of License, shedding light on local issues, free community events or pointing listeners to local service providers. • Collaborate with other departments when events are scheduled in your territory, as required by Director. • Complete all accountability paperwork using such software as Concur, Service Now, Sharepoint and Aquira in a timely manner as indicated by your manager. • Participate in remote staff meetings with fellow RPAMs and travel to Franklin HQ for various events, including the annual Christmas Banquet. • Proactively suggest and create new and innovative ways to ensure FCC compliance. • Regularly share these suggestions with Sr. Regional Public Affairs Manager or Director of Public Affairs as appropriate.

• Evaluates the overall technical operation of facilities within area of responsibility and takes corrective action as necessary to ensure equipment is functioning to the highest level of quality. • Install, maintain, and repair broadcast equipment (such as audio processors, mixers, microwave and satellite equipment) used in preparing and transmitting K-LOVE’s programming to the highest possible level of quality. • Regularly operate equipment that regulates the signal strength, clarity, and sound of K-LOVE’s broadcasts. • Maintain knowledge of applicable FCC rules and regulations and ensure all equipment within area of responsibility is operating safely and legally. • Proactively analyze and fix technical faults on equipment and systems to the component level. • Partner and communicate with contract engineers to resolve technical problems. • Evaluate work quality from contract engineers and assist in coordinating and reviewing contract engineer projects. • Proactively communicate and work with other staff to resolve technical problems. • From time to time, carry out work on non-broadcast equipment (such as electrical generators, air conditioning units, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, etc.) as conditions dictate. • Make trips to sites, as required, performing installations or repairs; or company headquarters as needed for training or special projects. The length of these trips varies depending on the specific needs. • Maintain professional competency, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. • If assigned, serve as Chief Operator/Engineer for one or more broadcast station(s). • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisor.
