Role Description The Director of Finance for the ACCEL Schools business segment is responsible for the business analysis and financial support of a fast-growing portfolio of K-12 charter schools. As the Finance Leader, this includes duties across all facets of the FP&A function, including forecasting, budgeting, and monthly and quarterly reporting of key financial and operating metrics. This individual will establish positive relationships and become a strategic advisor for business leaders and their respective teams, playing an integral part in helping the FP&A team adapt and mature as the Company grows organically and through acquisitions. - Ensure financial targets are met by problem-solving and developing operational strategies to improve financial results and enhance business opportunities - Lead, develop, and mentor a team of FP&A Partners, providing guidance to help build a solid foundation to grow and scale the organization - Performance measurement tracking and insights, including but not limited to; key performance indicators, budget vs. actuals, financial statement analysis, trends/drivers, benchmarking, and other ad-hoc related activities - Operational and Financial model design, development, and oversight, including unit economics, marginal contribution, lifetime value, capacity planning, and break-even insights - Drive the integrity and accuracy of key financial and non-financial KPIs maintained within the financial systems - Help drive process improvements and lead the business segment planning process to achieve the strategic priorities of the Company - Key point of contact for the Controller, Human Resources, Operations, and Field Leadership - Perform other tasks and projects as required Qualifications - Minimum of 10 years experience including financial modeling, planning and decision support, and merger & acquisition analysis - BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, and/or similar quantitative analysis - MBA or MS in Business Analytics or a similar degree preferred - Leadership experience, preferably in a multi-unit environment - Track record of building strong relationships with business leaders and navigating the organization for support - Independent and thrives in a fast-paced work environment fueled by inorganic growth - Proven track record of converting complex and fragmented data sets to meaningful information - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; highly proficient in other Microsoft applications - Experience with Workday Adaptive Insight, Office Connect, Great Plains, and LineLeader preferred - Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and attention to detail - Excellent communication skills – written and verbal Requirements - The annual starting salary for this position is between $160,000 – $170,000 annually. - This is a bonus eligible position.
