Essential Responsibilities: - Administer, maintain, and optimize the HRIS platform, including configuration, troubleshooting, enhancements, and module support across HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Talent, Time and Attendance, and Payroll - Serve as the primary point of contact for HR system inquiries, resolving issues and ensuring timely, high quality support in a fast paced environment - Assist in the planning and execution of system implementations, updates, integrations, and enhancements, including testing and user acceptance activities - Create, maintain, and audit reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support data driven decision making - Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, external departments, and vendors to streamline workflows and improve system functionality - Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and innovation, including awareness of industry trends and competitor practices - Develop training materials and facilitate end user training related to system launches and enhancements - Perform other duties as assigned Superpowers Required: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, related field or equivalent work - Experience with HR terminology, regulations, operations, procedures, requirements and practices - Strong problem solving and with a creative and innovative approach for solution thinking is a must - Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets is a must - 3+ years of HRIS, HR Generalist or Specialist experience - 3+ years of working with Human Resource Data - 2+ Years of experience with Workday configuration and analysis Required, specifically with business processes in the HCM and Recruitment Modules are a must - 2+ year of experience in Reporting and Calculated fields are a must - Experience with Workday Benefits or Payroll are is a must - 6+ months of experience with MarineExchange (MXP) highly preferred - Strong working knowledge of system speak and HR workflows - Excellent communication, both verbal and written - Highly collaborative in team-based environment as well as ability to work independently What Matters to Us: At Virgin, your personality matters as much as how good you are at what you do.
