About this team and role: Responsible for the global accounting team located in Europe handling all accounting operations including monthly journal entries, review and reporting, consolidation, account reconciliations, accounts payable and expense reporting as well as audit preparation. What you’ll do: - Lead and review the global monthly close and consolidation process including preparation and/or review of journal entries, reconciliations and month end reporting. - Assist with the development and implementation of accounting best practices. Lead the initiation to improve the internal control environment and financial quality. - Develop and mentor an accounting team of two, based in Europe, as well as assist in managing the General Ledger Business Process Outsourcing team based in India. - Collaborate with business partners to improve the efficiency of existing processes and accuracy of financial information at the product level. - Assist in managing relationships with local advisory teams on compliance audits and topics (tax, audit, other reporting). What you’ll bring: - Minimum 7 years progressively advancing experience. Past experience in a global organization required. - 3+ years of management experience. - Experience with multiple levels of consolidation and intercompany transactions including a strong understanding of foreign currency revaluation and cumulative translation adjustment requirements. - Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Financial Advisory Services Specialist with an investment/trust/estate planning focus is responsible for providing exemplary member service and helping members obtain life insurance policies, annuities, investment accounts, and identify their estate planning needs as appropriate based on the members’ financial goals and objectives, through branch, telephone and/or digital delivery channels. Specialists also work to engage member-facing employees on general financial advisory topics to support the referral process. This is a full time, remote position.
