As a Principal Enterprise IT Risk Engineer, you will serve as the technical leader and subject matter expert responsible for the design, configuration, development, integration, and continuous optimization of the Archer enterprise GRC platform. This senior role demands deep expertise in GRC (governance, risk, and compliance) platform engineering, hands-on configuration and development skills, agile delivery practices, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to senior leadership while mentoring junior team members and acting as a trusted advisor across the organization. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology, systems, process improvement, learning new things, and whose strengths are in complete alignment with this position. May work in our Raleigh, NC office, or remotely (as long as located within NC). Responsibilities - Lead the configuration, customization, and ongoing support of the Archer enterprise GRC solution. - Gather feedback and requirements for GRC implementations, then reduce them to the simplest and most efficient technical designs and configurations. - Implement the various modules in the Archer platform with a focus on incremental delivery (minimal viable product/agile). - Make key decisions that influence the overall direction and architecture of the GRC platform. - Continually evaluate the environment to identify and implement continuous improvements to processes and platform design. - Provide guidance, coaching, and technical direction to more junior employees as appropriate. - Follow a continuous delivery agile release cycle, where configuration packages are installed weekly or more. - Establish and maintain data feeds and integrations with other enterprise solutions as necessary. - Protect operations by keeping information confidential and applying industry-standard security controls. - Serve as alternate technical SME and emergency backup for the Enterprise IT Risk Technology Manager. - Other responsibilities as necessary to support the enterprise GRC program. Experience - 7+ years of experience. - Successfully configured and implemented numerous Archer use cases at medium to large-sized company(s). - Hands-on experience configuring the Archer software platform. - Woven various Archer use cases into a unified framework using Risk and Control libraries and taxonomies. - Participated in an agile (or hybrid) software team with daily stand-ups. Technical Skills - Mastery of the Archer software platform. Proven advanced expertise in: - Calculated fields, calculated cross-references, and data publications. - Data Feeds, including Archer-to-Archer. - Archer Control Panel and Job Engine. - Advanced Workflow design, configuration, and automation. - Custom reporting, dashboards, data modeling, and advanced analytics. - Solution design, application building, workflows, and enterprise integrations. - API development and integration. - Ability to work in a truly Agile environment. - Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. - Solid understanding of IT risk management, controls frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), compliance processes, and risk assessment methodologies. Position Overview: - Sending notifications of and performing maintenance to resolve negative account balances. - Reviewing and processing charged off cash items, to include returned checks, fraud, forgeries, deposit accounts, etc., submitted by the branch network and internal departments. Essential Responsibilities: - 10% Use macros to prepare, mail, and track letters on negative accounts. - 40% Close negative accounts with excessive non-sufficient funds (NSF) activity by transfer of funds between deposit accounts and/or debit to a general ledger to offset negative balances. Performs all other maintenance related to the account closure. Data entry of charge offs submitted by Deposit Loss Mitigation (DLM) into an internal system for approval by DLM management. Track suspension of services due to account mismanagement. - 40% Review supporting documentation in a document image system for cash item charge off requests submitted by branches and other departments. Data entry of charge off information in an internal cash item charge off tracking system. - 10% Assist branch, Member Services Support, and departments by phone and through email with questions about negative deposit account and cash item charge off processing. Financial Advisory Services Specialist with an investment/trust/estate planning focus is responsible for providing exemplary member service and helping members obtain life insurance policies, annuities, investment accounts, and identify their estate planning needs as appropriate based on the members’ financial goals and objectives, through branch, telephone and/or digital delivery channels. Specialists also work to engage member-facing employees on general financial advisory topics to support the referral process. This is a full time, remote position. Employee will need to report on-site for training and other business needs as determined by management. Schedule: 11:00AM – 8:00PM, Monday through Friday. Shifts require working holidays. Performance Expectations and Essential Responsibilities - Develop or increase proficiency in meeting members’ needs in the areas of life insurance, investments, trust services, estate planning and retirement planning.
