Analyst, Category Management
Chomps
• Provide category management and insight support across Chomps products within assigned key accounts and sales channels • Collaborate with sales, operations, and marketing teams to support growth strategies aligned with category and company objectives • Identify win-win opportunities between Chomps and assigned retail partners • Build category knowledge and articulate business insights and fact-based opportunities using retailer, vendor, market/consumption, and shopper data • Develop analytic insights and recommendations to drive incremental growth • Complete routine and ad-hoc analytical projects, retailer/category scorecards, and performance reports • Organize, scrub, analyze, and finalize large sets of raw data • Use customer-specific shopper and data platforms for internal and external decision-making • Provide analytics, reporting, and data-driven content addressing customer and category questions • Develop fact-based selling stories for innovation launches and distribution expansion • Create category-focused analyses and insights with cross-functional teams • Support competitive intelligence analyses • Measure test-and-learn initiatives and improve shelving and merchandising recommendations • Support data-driven in-store placement and planogram recommendations • Identify new opportunities within Sales and Business Intelligence departments
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 1+ years of experience in category management, CPG analytics, and/or account management
- Prior industry experience in food, CPG, and/or grocery/natural is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of secondary and syndicated data sources, including Nielsen, Spins, IRI, Numerator, and 84.51
- Knowledge of loyalty card and shopper panel metrics
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights and visual selling content
- Strong verbal and written communication and relationship management skills
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate insights and recommendations to external stakeholders
- Ability to prioritize a high volume of requests and projects
- Must reside in the United States
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
