Job Description
Analyst/Senior Analyst, GTM Strategy & Operations
Yelp, Inc
Summary The GTM Strategy & Operations group is a critical partner to Yelp's Multi-Location Go-To-Market (GTM) team. We blend high-level strategy with hands-on operational execution, using data-backed insights to define market goals. Our core mission is to build the fundamental infrastructure and scalable processes that ensure the GTM teams achieve peak performance and measurable business growth. This is more than an analyst role—it's a strategic partnership where you will directly influence the growth trajectory of a large-scale business. You will be the architect of scalable processes, the primary interpreter of business performance, and the driver of high-impact operational change. Your work will build the core structure on which the entire Multi-Location GTM organization operates and scales. We’d love to have you apply, even if you don’t feel you meet every single requirement in this posting. At Yelp, we’re looking for great people, not just those who simply check off all the boxes. This is a full-time remote role based in the United States. What you'll do: - Own and refine the end-to-end sales funnel and operational metric tracking process, delivering continuous, proactive insights to the business and ensuring the organization is operating with maximum efficiency. - Design, build, and optimize reporting structures (including weekly/monthly KPI trackers and QBR inputs) to provide the leadership team with an immediate, clear pulse on business health. - Serve as the go-to expert for analytic support, leveraging your deep skills in Excel modeling and SQL knowledge to solve complex business problems and manage ad hoc strategic projects (data extraction, aggregation, manipulation, and modeling) while leveraging other tools as necessary (Salesforce, Tableau). - Go beyond reporting to deliver executive-level strategic analysis and deep dives, translating complex data into clear, actionable business strategies that influence leadership decisions and direct the GTM organization's long-term vision. What it takes to succeed: - 2+ years of work experience in a high-growth environment within Sales/Business Operations, Sales Strategy, Business Intelligence, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting. You have a track record of driving significant, measurable business outcomes. - You are passionately curious about data, utilizing exceptional Excel modeling skills and experience in SQL (joins, subqueries) to extract and synthesize insights from large datasets. - Demonstrated success in taking complex, ambiguous problems, using data to find the root cause, and translating those findings into clear, persuasive, and actionable strategies. - A desire and ability to learn in a fast-paced environment, and proactively identify opportunities for process and strategy improvement - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. What you'll get: - Effective your first day: Full medical, vision, and dental - 15 days PTO (accrual begins on date of hire and increases with 2+ years of tenure thereafter), 12 paid holidays, plus one floating holiday - Up to 14 weeks of parental leave - Monthly wellness subsidy - Work from home reimbursement - Flexible spending account - 401(k) retirement savings plan - Employee stock purchase plan - Compensation range for this position is $85,000- $115,000 annually. You may also be offered a bonus and benefits. Closing At Yelp, we believe that diversity is an expression of all the unique characteristics that make us human: race, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, and education — and those are just a few. Actual salary offered may vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, an individual's location and experience. We will consider for employment qualified candidates with arrest and conviction records, consistent with applicable law (including, for example, the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance for roles based in San Francisco, the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for roles based in the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, and the California Fair Chance Act for roles based in California). Where required by law, a criminal background check will not be conducted until after a conditional offer of employment is made, and any evaluation of a candidate's criminal background check will be subject to an individualized assessment that takes into account the candidate's specific criminal records and the responsibilities and requirements of the particular role.
