Role Description The Director of Strategy and Quality Practices, Volunteerism, leads the advancement of community-based services across the YMCA network by unifying strategies, aligning practices, and driving quality improvement. The role guides the adoption of leading practices, mobilizes systemwide activation support, and cultivates partnerships. A key focus of this position is strengthening local Ys in their operational excellence—ensuring they are equipped with consistent, high-quality approaches that support organizational health, sustainability, and long-term success. Operating as a strategic leader and facilitator of the network, this role informs innovation, accelerates shared outcomes, and enhances the overall vitality of the YMCA. YMCA of the USA (Y-USA) embraces a remote-first working environment which means most employees work remotely from a home office within the continental United States. Responsibilities - Support and Enhance Organizational Priorities to Strengthen Local Ys: Advances organizational priorities by translating national direction into clear, actionable supports that strengthen local Y operational excellence and drive a healthier, more effective YMCA Movement. - Unify and Align Network Strategies: Leads efforts to build shared goals, strengthen alignment, and enhance the credibility of Y-USA strategies across local Ys, alliances, and service delivery partners to ensure coordinated and consistent impact. - Drive Collective Strategy: Develops and manages activation approaches that advance organizational priorities ensuring Ys and partners have the resources, guidance, and capacity to engage effectively. - Lead Adoption and Integration of Membership Leading Practices: Engages the YMCA network to promote systemwide adoption of Y-USA Membership tools, products, and solutions; identifies bright spots; and provides programmatic support to Network Partners. - Guide Continuous Quality Improvement and Innovation: Collects and analyzes Membership data, signals, and industry trends to inform continuous quality improvement strategies and identify opportunities for innovation. - Strengthen Partnerships, Advocacy, and Policy Efforts: Collaborates with governmental, nonprofit, academic, and private partners to support national initiatives, increase influence, and advance mission aligned strategies. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher required in a relevant field such as Business, or related disciplines required. Advanced degree strongly preferred. - 8-12 years of experience required. - Expert functional skills, advanced industry knowledge and experience, advanced managerial skills. - Manages multiple teams or functions. - Strategic and operational decision-making authority. - Highly complex tasks and managerial tasks. - Minimal supervision. Posted Salary Range USD $115,000.00 - USD $141,000.00 /Yr.
• Define and implement enterprise-wide quality engineering strategy • Establish standards for testing, validation, and release readiness • Design and implement scalable automation frameworks (API and integration-first) • Build reusable automated test suites for critical business workflows • Embed automated testing into Azure DevOps pipelines • Validate cross-system integrations and data flows • Define release validation and QA sign-off processes
• Supports the development and continuous improvement of the enterprise compliance program to ensure alignment with regulatory, legal, and organizational requirements. • Supports the implementation and advancement of the enterprise risk management framework, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring across functions. • Prepares and delivers executive and board-level reporting to support the Audit, Compliance & Risk Committee in oversight of compliance and enterprise risks. • Directs the development, maintenance, and operational integration of compliance policies and procedures to ensure consistent adoption and accountability. • Works with business owners to design and implement compliance training and communication strategies to reinforce organizational expectations and promote a culture of integrity. • Supports ethics reporting processes, including intake, triage, and oversight of compliance-related concerns to ensure timely and consistent resolution. • Establishes compliance monitoring and audit processes to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. • Oversees third-party compliance risk management to ensure vendors and partners adhere to organizational standards and contractual requirements.

• Leads GRACE financial planning, budgeting, reconciliation, monitoring, and reporting, in partnership with Y-USA Finance, Financial Development, and Legal Departments, ensuring compliance with donor, regulatory, and audit requirements • Manages external and internal GRACE grant administration processes, coordinating grant agreements, reporting, and compliance in partnership with international YMCAs, Finance, Legal, and Financial Development. • Co-leads global youth initiatives in partnership with Y-USA, local U.S. YMCAs, Area Alliances, and the World YMCA, overseeing selection processes, strategic alignment, and cohort learning implementation. • Supports the design and delivery of global and national programs and events to strengthen organizational capacity and shared learning across the YMCA network. • Provides service delivery support rooted in the GRACE Leading Practices to deepen the global engagement of the U.S. YMCA movement.
Vice President, Educational Partnerships and Business Development

• Source, design, refine and execute enterprise level educational/youth development partnership and business development strategies that are relevant and scalable across the network. • Serve as a catalyst for positioning Ys as trusted community and school partners that support youth success and family engagement. • Build and advance growth strategy to expand Y impact and create sustainable revenue models. • Align with industry standards, federal and state priorities, and funding expectations to optimize opportunities and support network wide adoption and sustainability. • Endorse leading practices around local Y management and engagement with educational/youth development experts – including go to market approach, operating models, partnership lifecycle management, MOU execution and renewal and performance expectations and quality controls to launch and scale partnerships efficiently and consistently. • Partner with practice leadership, service delivery and emerging opportunities to align strategy, process, innovation, resource development and activation. • Develop infrastructure across the ecosystem to support educational/youth development partnerships at scale. • Develop and manage department budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strong ROI. • Collaborate internally at YUSA to deliver integrated seamless support to local Ys. • Engage with external consultants to advance and accelerate the work. • Build partnerships with school districts, youth development experts, and educational stakeholders to drive new revenue streams. • Maintain and leverage CEO relationships for advocacy, influence and endorsement. • Establish metrics to measure effectiveness, participation, and impact of services provided to the network; use data and insights to drive continuous quality improvement. • Ensure services demonstrate clear value toward local Y organizational excellence and financial sustainability. • Partner across YUSA to ensure we are mitigating risk and exposure to YUSA as well as our local Ys. • Stay abreast of emerging issues that may impact the Y network.

• Define and lead the enterprise AI architecture strategy, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant adoption of generative AI and advanced analytics across the organization. • Design and maintain reference architectures, standards, and patterns for AI solutions, including LLM-enabled applications and platform integrations. • Provide architectural leadership for AI platforms built on Amazon Web Services (AWS), including the use of managed services such as Amazon Bedrock. • Lead the evaluation, selection, and integration of leading large language models and AI services, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Microsoft Copilot, ensuring appropriate use and performance. • Partner with business, product, and technology leaders to identify, prioritize, and design high-value AI use cases aligned to strategic objectives. • Establish and enforce AI governance frameworks, including policies, controls, and guardrails related to data usage, model risk, compliance, and responsible AI practices. • Define and oversee AI cybersecurity architecture, addressing risks such as data leakage, prompt injection, model misuse, and emerging AI threat vectors. • Provide architectural guidance for the development and integration of AI-enabled applications, ensuring solutions are production-ready, scalable, and maintainable. • Enable AI lifecycle management practices, including experimentation, deployment, monitoring, optimization, and retirement of AI solutions. • Collaborate with data, application development, security, legal, and compliance teams to ensure AI solutions align with enterprise standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management expectations.
