The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) Warrior Experience Senior Specialist leads and supports efforts to seamlessly interface the various WWP programs and services to achieve alignment and integration across the organization. The Warrior Experience Senior Specialist leads efforts related to ongoing program operations including enhancements and post-implementation management, resulting in an enhanced, cohesive, and personalized warrior experience. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the Warrior Experience initiatives for either Strategy or Operations, as assigned. - Lead cross-functional work groups to achieve defined outcomes and other critical initiatives to meet warrior needs and enhance the Warrior’s experience. - Coordinate across Programs to collect ideas and feedback, negotiate outputs, ensure recommended changes meet cross functional needs, lead adoption and implementation efforts, and ensure appropriate and timely communications across organization. - Organize and prepare materials and resources for team and staff meetings to facilitate decision-making and ensure clear communication about recommendations and plans. - Lead work groups in proactively reviewing and evaluating current processes and problems, and in brainstorming and identifying solutions. - Utilize the ideas generated in work groups to identify necessary changes in how WWP delivers programs to warriors and recommend changes to leadership. - Identify and develop improved processes to enhance the warrior experience and ensure alignment among the various WWP Teams. - Establish operational processes for implemented initiatives to include updates and maintenance. - Develop methods to seamlessly interface different departments to help blur the functional lines in the programs and services delivered to Warriors. - Participate in rollout of key strategic initiatives - Serve as an expert resource for answers to questions from the organization regarding programs. - Assist with developing and prioritizing initiatives and projects for the Warrior Experience team. - Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. - Other duties as assigned. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Identify, screen, and recruit warriors for participation in quarterly virtual and in person Physical Health & Wellness events and coaching programs. - Plan agenda and execute multiday PH&W coaching program kick off events, providing fitness, nutrition, mobility, sleep, and health-focused education to warriors with limited to no supervision from manager. - Create individualized coaching programs to help warriors achieve their physical health and wellness goals. - Manage warrior participation throughout 90-day coaching program, providing encouragement, support, and connection to resources through regular coaching sessions delivered by telephone or Teams. - Provide instruction, guidance, and coaching using motivational interviewing skills to encourage behavior change and support the progress of warrior’s health focused SMART goals. - Develop and execute in person events, virtual education, competitions, and wellness challenges for warriors and their families. - Develop and facilitate virtual programming content via Teams, Facebook Live, and other technology-based platforms. - Collaborate with physical health and wellness teammates to develop new, innovative content and curriculum. - Identify and recommend new programming opportunities aimed at increasing overall impact. - Learn and implement various modalities to execute during events and follow up, including Learning Management Systems (LMS). - Establish and maintain community relationships to build an ecosystem of PH&W support for warriors. - Collaborate with multiple WWP departments and other key stakeholders to deliver programming and services to warriors and their families. - Conduct public speaking activities to raise awareness of PH&W programming and discuss the importance of starting and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. - Maintain budgets for PH&W programming within assigned region in support of leadership. - Manage information within various systems, ensuring accuracy while maintaining data integrity/security, e.g. Salesforce. - Utilize validated metrics to meet strategic outcomes and key performance indicators. - Manage multiple tasks, assignments, and functions, being comfortable in a fast-paced, innovative environment. - Participate in workgroups for special projects and programming initiatives as assigned. - Assist with onboarding and training of new teammates as needed. - Attend and actively participate in required training and/or meetings, including but not limited to New Teammate Orientation, WWP Cares, ASIST Suicide Prevention training, Leadership training, culture/team based training, or departmental huddles. - Other related duties as assigned.
