Role Description The University of Virginia (UVA) Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is seeking a Post-Award Accountant to join their team, reporting to the Assistant Director of OSP Post-Award. The Post-Award Accountant monitors, reconciles, and analyzes expenditure on sponsored awards to ensure compliance with award terms and conditions, and prepares invoices and financial reports for sponsors while assisting in providing supporting documentation for financial audits. This position provides an option to work on-site, hybrid or fully remote, following the University's remote work guidelines. This position is responsible for award management of sponsored awards from the time the awards are accepted until the end of the research project. The Accountant is responsible for: - Identifying payments to sponsored projects. - Monitoring unapplied cash. - Following up on outstanding receivables. - Providing audit support. - Preparing invoices including letter of credit draws. - Assisting in the cash application process. - Ensuring that final expenditure and cash reconciliations are performed in a timely manner. Responsibilities include: - Independently reviewing sponsored award terms and conditions, identifying reporting, invoicing and other specific financial requirements, and tracking tasks through the financial system. - Reviewing payments from various sponsors, applying cash to the appropriate awards and proactively identifying and investigating variances. - Understanding complex situations regarding non-compliance with sponsor requirements and escalating issues to the Senior Post Award Accountant or to Post Award Management in a timely manner. - Receiving training from Post Award leadership and external resources to understand state, federal and non-federal sponsor terms and applying comprehensive knowledge of the industry and professional standards to interpret and resolve post award financial management issues. The Collective Impact Specialist plays a critical role in advancing the STRONG Accountable Care Community’s (STRONG ACC) cradle-to-career strategy by supporting the implementation of cross-sector initiatives that improve outcomes for economically disadvantaged children, youth, and families across Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia. UVA Health seeks a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor to join the Virtual Primary Care On Demand Clinic as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC), an integrated member of the virtual primary care team. This is a fast-paced role that uses targeted interventions to address the behavioral health needs of a rapid-access primary care population and maintain availability for same-day virtual consultation. The BHC focuses on population health impact and building provider capability to address behavioral health in a fully virtual environment. The Behavioral Health Consultant will work as a member of the primary care team, providing consultation-based behavioral health services to patients in collaboration with their primary care providers in a Clinical Practice Group office. These duties include 1) operating in a consultative role within a primary care team utilizing an integrated behavioral health model of care; 2) providing recommendations regarding behavioral interventions to the referring primary care provider; and 3) conducting focused interventions with referred patients on behalf of the referring primary care provider. About This Position This position is based in the Virtual Care Clinic, a new UVA Health initiative providing rapid-access primary care to patients across Virginia who do not have an established primary care provider. The clinic is staffed by a team of three Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) rotating to provide seven-day coverage. The BHC will operate as an integrated team member providing same-day virtual warm handoffs and scheduled video consultations, with typical patient contact of 1-5 visits focused on empowering patients for self-management. The Teacher Education Program in the Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Special Education at the School of Education and Human Development is seeking University Student Teacher Supervisors (USTS) with extensive teaching or supervision experience to provide online supervision and support to practicum and internship students in our online ESL and Special Education teacher licensure programs in their clinical placements located in public schools in Virginia and across the country. The successful applicant will facilitate meetings with mentor teacher/student teacher pairs, conduct in-person and video observation cycles with student teachers (3 cycles for practicum students; 5 cycles for student teachers), and communicate students' progress to the Teacher Education faculty and staff. All observations utilize a web-based video observation tool to provide targeted feedback to students. Applicants must be comfortable learning and using new technologies. Bachelor's degree is required, Masters Degree is preferred. At least three years of full-time experience teaching PreK-12 students in public schools, knowledge of current best practices in education, and a current or previously held professional teaching license. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills are also required. A master's degree in education, five or more years of teaching experience, previous experience mentoring student teachers, and experience working with novice teachers are also preferred. Applicants should be comfortable with frequent email, text, and Zoom check-ins with their students, as well as the use of learning assessment and management systems. Proficiency with a range of technology platforms is also required. Supervisors will be expected to learn and utilize the web-based observation tool.
