• Screen organ offers from the OPTN contractor in accordance with Transplant Center protocols and workflows. • Effectively communicate with Transplant Center teams, OPO staff, recipients, operating room (OR) teams, and internal TransMedics teams. • Maintain knowledge of, understand, and adhere to OPTN policies. • Ensure seamless coordination of donor assessment from clinical review through surgeon and recipient communication to transplantation. • Collaborate with the TransMedics Logistics team. • Consult with TransMedics Clinical Leadership as appropriate. • Complete accurate pre- and post-transplant documentation in the Transplant Center EMR and OPTN systems. • Participate in a minimum of eight 24-hour on-call shifts per month (including holidays and weekends), based on staffing and business needs. • Schedule time off with appropriate advance notice in coordination with the manager. • Demonstrate excellent customer service, multitasking, and communication skills. • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team projects as assigned. • Attend team meetings outside of scheduled call hours as necessary. • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The OCS Specialist maximizes and supports the use of the OCS for organ retrieval and transport prior to, during and after transplantation. RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: - Completion of rigorous hands-on training and OCS certification across all organ platforms at - TransMedics’ training facility in Andover, MA. - Apply OCS knowledge during organ retrieval, preservation, transport, and assessment according - to TransMedics protocols and policies. - When not on OCS call days, perform assigned tasks during standard working hours, either - remotely from home or as assigned, including but not limited to: - Managing inventory & shipments on a weekly basis - Assist with Lab Trainings - Participate in R&D activities in lab - Assist with establishing launch points - Participate in medical and scientific conferences and meetings (inside or outside the US) - Communicate regularly with Organ Management Phone Support to relay real time updates while - supporting ongoing OCS cases - Regularly communicate OCS utilization activities and users’ feedback - Annual recertification on all organ platforms - Timely submission of post case documentation and preparation/presentation of case reviews - (with support and review of senior colleague) following the use of the OCS - Provide customer support as needed (e.g. hospital in-services & refresher training) - Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as assigned/required. MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES This position manages the following positions on a daily basis. - This position will not have management responsibilities. PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES - Must be able to lift 75l lbs up and down stairs. - Must be fully vaccinated (and boosted, when eligible) against respiratory viruses including but not limited to Influenza and COVID-19. • Achieve overall quarterly and annual sales goals by developing and driving the adoption of Organ Care System (OCS) use in UK in Heart, Lung and Liver. • Build up the NOP in UK • Develop a comprehensive knowledge base of OCS, its uses, advantages of perfusion of organs & the market and the competion to be able to build credibility towards customers • Develop and present an annual business plan and quarterly business reviews, account by account for all three countries • Identify, visit and develop new customers • Build up the NOP (National Organ Care Programm) in UK • Track and report Product and logistic tenders for organ transplantation • Find new strategies for the adaption for OCS in heart, lung and liver • Capability to lead OCS Specialists • Visit and further develop existing accounts in order to generate long term sustainable and predictable business • Liaise with all relevant governmental bodies together with Market Access within UK to foster awareness of the OCS and to ensure reimbursement continuity and optimization of reimbursement • Organize together with the clinical training lead and attend trainings and meetings with health care professionals to enhance the knowledge of the OCS and to ensure the correct use of OCS • Accompany transplantations if necessary • Submit monthly and quarterly reports including planning, activities • Present TransMedics on most important congresses in UK and international congresses • Monitor and check all stock held by the accounts on a regular basis • Take care of customer orders • Control and monitor all your expenses and submit expense claims in time • Complete administrative and training requirements on time and accurately • Sign and conform to all the internal policies set by TransMedics • Perform other duties as may be required by supervisor

Job Description: TransMedics was founded to address the unmet need for more and better organs for transplantation and has developed the Organ Care System (OCS) technologies to preserve organ quality, assess organ viability prior to transplant, and potentially increase the utilization of donor organs for the treatment of end-stage heart, lung, and liver failure. TransMedics’ National OCS Procurement (NOP) program was developed to maximize the utilization of donor organs in the US. TransMedics has established NOP hubs across the U.S. to provide broad geographical coverage and facilitate national procurement of organs. Each launch point is equipped with OCS consoles, modules, and related equipment and supplies. The OCS Specialist I maximizes and supports the use of the OCS for organ retrieval and transport prior to, during and after transplantation. Team members will support cases within and beyond their home region.
