• Own all Engineering and Data recruiting end-to-end: intake through close. • Directly manage and develop a Senior Recruiter while maintaining your own requisition load. • Build and execute talent strategies for Engineering and Data. • Serve as the primary recruiting partner to Engineering and Data leadership. • Use funnel data and hiring outcome metrics to diagnose recruiting challenges.

• Build backend services and APIs that connect Business Applications workflows with Thumbtack's product and platform services. • Bring agentic and AI-enabled workflow prototypes into production with the reliability, observability, and human review needed for business-critical work. • Create reusable integration patterns that let internal tools, third-party systems, and agents take safe, auditable action across systems. • Partner with business and engineering teams to understand operational workflows and turn the highest-value problems into durable backend capabilities. • Help define the technical foundation for a BusApps platform that supports reliable integrations, safe automation, and production AI workflows.

• Own and define end-to-end program management for the 50+ members of the Productivity Engineering team • Drive complex cross-team programs such as large-scale platform migrations and tooling adoptions across multi-quarter timelines • Define success through developer adoption and productivity impact • Manage migrations as a program • Drive AI developer tooling strategy and adoption • Own the Platform Engineering team's Roadmap and OKR planning cycles

• Define and own the Supply Marketing / B2B Marketing strategy. • Serve as the voice of the professional inside Thumbtack. • Build and manage the B2B marketing programs. • Lead Partner Marketing as a strategic function. • Work closely with product, commercial, and supply leadership. • Build measurement frameworks tied to professional supply outcomes. • Develop your team, create clear accountability.

• Build and evolve core AI platform capabilities. • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable tools. • Work hands-on across the stack from backend services to AI integrations. • Partner with senior engineers on next-generation AI infrastructure. • Drive projects to completion with a focus on business impact.

• Build the platforms behind agentic developer workflows • Design and build product surfaces engineers and AI agents reach for daily • Own and evolve the Cloud Development Environment (CDE) platform • Improve the build systems, CI/CD pipelines, test infrastructure, and observability • Prototype and evaluate new AI developer tools

• Design, create, and maintain software and systems to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Thumbtack's services • Set the architectural direction of infrastructure and platform services while supporting the engineering organization • Design and implement tools and processes used for deployment, change, service, and infrastructure management • Troubleshoot and debug critical systems throughout the SDLC • Contribute to the evolution and performance of capabilities we provide to engineering as a platform organization • Capacity planning and demand forecasting, anticipating performance bottlenecks • Participate in rotating on-call duties

• Drive engineering projects to completion with a focus on business impact. • Execute new ideas quickly and effectively on the backend. • Solve tough technical problems at any level of the stack. • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Product and Design. • Work on large projects and lead small teams of engineers.

• Own the patterns, flows, and component compositions that power product experiences across iOS, Android, and web, ensuring consistency and quality at every layer. • Design and ship reusable components with a high bar for craft, including well-defined states, variants, responsiveness, and interaction models. • Define and maintain platform-native interaction patterns that make our product feel cohesive and intentional across surfaces. • Evolve Thumbprint over time to keep pace with modern UI patterns, platform conventions, and the changing needs of our product. • Create clear, opinionated documentation and usage guidance, including best practices, anti-patterns, and decision frameworks teams can act on. • Enable teams to adopt and extend the design system through onboarding, critique, and hands-on partnership. • Collaborate with technical partners to ensure Thumbprint works within AI-driven workflows, including Claude Code, Figma MCP, and our internal prototyping tools. • In addition, work closely with Engineering partners to define, align, and maintain parity between design components in Figma and their coded implementation, ensuring a seamless design-to-development workflow and single source of truth. • Contribute to the naming, taxonomy, and structure so Thumbprint is legible and usable by both people and AI tools.
