This engagement will support a major university system operating within a state-governed payroll structure and migrating from a heavily customized PeopleSoft platform to Workday. This is a high-visibility role supporting an established Workday practice. The selected consultant will work alongside existing leadership and provide deep payroll expertise to guide solution design, client education, and overall implementation strategy. The role is remote, with limited travel to the client site in New York. Work Location & Requirements - Fully remote, with candidates required to reside on the East Coast (EST time zone) - Travel onsite 1–2 times per quarter as needed - U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required - Comprehensive background check required (employment, education, drug screening) - Proof of flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Responsibilities - Lead, mentor, and manage a team of analytics professionals, setting performance expectations and supporting career development - Oversee the development and delivery of high-quality reports, dashboards, and analytical models for internal and external stakeholders - Manage report intake and prioritization processes to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent analytics delivery - Design and maintain dashboards and models to monitor operational, financial, quality, productivity, and clinical performance - Establish and enforce data quality and QA processes; troubleshoot data issues and implement enhancements as needed - Identify and implement process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and scalability of reporting - Partner with cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Population Health, Case Management, Quality, Compliance, Provider Relations, and Member Growth - Translate business needs into KPIs, analytics solutions, and actionable insights that support health plan performance - Develop and maintain documentation including business requirements, data dictionaries, and analytics support materials - Present findings and insights to leaders in a clear, concise, and actionable manner Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Informatics, or a related field required - Master’s degree or MBA preferred - Relevant experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis - 5–7 years of experience in reporting, analytics, data visualization, or data analysis, preferably in a leadership role - 3–4 years of operational and/or clinical data experience required - Prior experience in a healthcare or health plan environment strongly preferred - Strong critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills - Ability to translate business needs into meaningful, actionable analytics - Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, SQL, and Tableau (MS Access preferred) - Experience designing dashboards and performance monitoring tools - Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and machine learning concepts (e.g., regression, clustering, decision trees) - Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills Compensation: - This position offers a salary up to $150K (no bonus) plus benefits. This role is primarily remote, with occasional in-person team events within the DC metropolitan area. Candidates must be local to the DC area. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and customize solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse. - Translate complex business requirements into elegant, user-friendly applications and workflows. - Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT to ensure solutions align with both user needs and enterprise architecture. - Continuously improve existing apps, automate processes, and unlock new capabilities across the organization. - Research and implement new features, connectors, and capabilities within the Power Platform ecosystem. Qualifications - Must be local to the DC area. - Hands-on experience developing apps and workflows in Power Apps (Canvas & Model-driven), Power Automate, Power Shell, and Power Pages, Azure Automation and integrating with Dataverse or SharePoint. - Experience and familiarity with AI Agents - Copilot Studio and Azure AI, as well as Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Microsoft 365. - Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and storytelling through data. - A knack for simplifying the complex—you can turn messy processes into intuitive, automated solutions. - Have obtained Microsoft Certifications, preferred PL-400 and/or PL-600.
