Role Description We are seeking two Junior Power BI Developers to support a large-scale reporting modernization initiative. This project involves converting existing reports from WebFOCUS to Microsoft Power BI as part of an organization-wide transition to a new reporting platform. This opportunity is ideal for early-career Power BI professionals who have hands-on experience developing reports and are comfortable working independently. Selected candidates will support an established team by migrating straightforward reports while senior team members handle more complex conversions. This role is based in Maryland - remote candidates may be considered. Per our client contract, candidates must be Green Card Holders or U.S. Citizens and be able to pass a background investigation. - Convert existing WebFOCUS reports into Power BI reports. - Develop, modify, and maintain basic Power BI reports and visualizations. - Recreate report layouts, filters, and reporting logic based on existing report requirements. - Independently migrate simple reports using Power BI's standard reporting capabilities. - Validate report accuracy and ensure data integrity throughout the migration process. - Collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and resolve reporting issues. - Participate in testing and quality assurance activities for migrated reports. - Meet project deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume migration environment. Role Description Our client is seeking a Red Hat Satellite Consultant to be responsible for the installation, administration, maintenance, and optimization of the Red Hat Satellite Server environment, ensuring systems are configured according to best practices and customer requirements. Responsibilities - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver Power Platform solutions that enhance business processes and user outcomes. - Develop and support Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven) and Dataverse solutions, including security configuration, data modeling, and system integrations. - Design and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline business processes and AI-driven workflows, incorporating connectors, error handling, approvals, and governance/DLP practices. - Build copilots and agent-based experiences as needed (e.g., Copilot Studio and/or custom interfaces), integrating enterprise systems through secure APIs and connectors. - Implement Azure OpenAI integrations where appropriate (e.g., summarization, extraction, Q&A), including prompt design, tool/function calling, and consideration of cost and latency. - Ensure AI outputs are grounded using appropriate methods (e.g., enterprise knowledge sources, structured data access, and retrieval techniques such as RAG when applicable). - Apply strong software engineering and DevOps practices, including source control, CI/CD, automated testing, infrastructure as code, and environment/release management. - Maintain security, compliance, and governance standards (DLP, permissions, environment strategy), while following responsible AI practices when leveraging copilots/LLMs. - Diagnose and resolve production issues, while optimizing performance and reliability through logging, metrics, and tracing. - Take full ownership of solutions in production, including monitoring, incident response, continuous improvement, and secure operations. - Design and develop Azure-hosted components that extend Power Platform solutions (e.g., Azure App Services/Functions, REST APIs, background processing) with secure integrations. - Stay up to date on Azure AI/Azure OpenAI, copilots/agents, and AI-assisted development tools, recommending practical adoption as capabilities evolve. Qualifications - Must be local to the DC area. - Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps (Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, and Dataverse; familiarity with Power BI and Copilot Studio is a plus. - Experience integrating Azure services with the Power Platform, including developing and consuming REST APIs (preferably using Azure App Services/Functions), handling authentication, and working with JSON-based integrations. - Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Copilot CLI, Microsoft Copilot), with strong practices around validation and code review. - Experience integrating Azure OpenAI or similar LLM services, including prompt design, tool/function calling, and evaluating quality, safety, and cost; familiarity with retrieval approaches such as RAG is a plus. - Experience with ALM/DevOps practices, including Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, testing, and automated deployments (e.g., Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions), as well as Power Platform solution management. - Strong focus on security and responsible AI practices, including least-privilege access, secrets management, privacy-conscious use of AI tools, and awareness of risks such as prompt injection and data exfiltration. - Strong requirements gathering and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., PL-400, AI-102, AZ-204, AZ-900).
