Role Description This is an exciting job opportunity for a Project Manager ideally onsite in Eden Prairie, MN, but can be home based in the US, with Intelligent Lighting Controls (ILC) and Cooper Lighting Solutions, a business unit of Signify, the world leader in lighting. In this role, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end ownership and execution of customer projects—from sales handover through final customer acceptance—ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery in compliance with company standards and best‑in‑class project management practices. - Responsible for the successful administration, planning, and implementation of all ILC system projects. - Act as the lead on customer liaison activities and specification clarification, managing the project scope, cost, schedule, and successful delivery of the project. - Collaborate with project stakeholders (e.g., channel partners, electrical contractors, engineers, customers, and internal functional teams) to establish project deliverables, schedules, and make recommendations. - Analyze and clarify completion criteria for each deliverable (e.g., design submittals, specifications, commissioning) and develop customer acceptance plan. - Partner with the Field Services team to ensure timely and accurate completion of the lighting control system commissioning and training. - Create and provide final project documentation with all pertinent project information; conduct lessons learned review with key stakeholders as a part of our continuous improvement strategy. Ensures alignment with overall segment strategy and business objectives. - •Collaborates with specifiers, system integrators, distributors, and installation partners to deliver complete lighting solutions to the end customer. Builds trust across the ecosystem to ensure seamless execution. - Demonstrates the ability to mobilize and align cross-functional internal teams—including Marketing, Lighting application, Supply Chain, Systems & Services—when the evolution of the account or opportunity calls for broader collaboration. - Leads commercial discussions, proposal submissions, and contract negotiations in collaboration with internal stakeholders, ensuring compliance with pricing and governance policies. - Analyzes trends in technology, design, and customer needs to identify emerging opportunities and risks. Provides market feedback to influence future product and segment strategies. - Continuously enhances knowledge of Signify’s solutions, connected systems, and market developments. Participates actively in learning programs and sales capability initiatives. - Develops and maintains strong partnerships with corporate clients, facility managers, real estate owners, and industrial operators. Understands their operational, sustainability, and employee well-being goals. - Builds relationships with key stakeholders (including C-Level). Critical Experiences - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is essential to understand commercial and strategic account management principles. - Minimum of 5 years experience in key account management or sales within the professional lighting, building technology, or IoT solutions sectors, demonstrating success in managing complex B2B customer relationships and achieving sales targets. - Professional sales certification or relevant industry certifications in lighting or smart building technologies. - Curiosity and growing mindset.
