Transform healthcare with us. At Qualified Health, we’re redefining what’s possible with Generative AI in healthcare. Our infrastructure provides the guardrails for safe AI governance, healthcare-specific agent creation, and real-time algorithm monitoring—working alongside leading health systems to drive real change. This is more than just a job. It’s an opportunity to build the future of AI in healthcare, solve complex challenges, and make a lasting impact on patient care. If you’re ambitious, innovative, and ready to move fast, we’d love to have you on board. Join us in shaping the future of healthcare. Job Summary: The IT / Security Operations Analyst owns the operational engine of security, compliance, and IT at Qualified Health. You're the person who keeps the day-to-day running: vendor intakes, IAM administration, device management, IT vendor coordination, compliance evidence collection, and the security questionnaires that our health system partners send us as part of their due diligence. This is a foundational role in a rapidly growing company. We handle protected health information for 15+ major health systems, and the security operational work is real, growing, and critically important. Today, some of it is being absorbed by our data integration team — people who should be deploying AI workflows, not resetting passwords and reviewing vendor SOC 2 reports. You'll take that operational burden off their plate and give it the dedicated attention it deserves. You'll work alongside the Director of Security & Compliance and a security engineer, forming a team that owns the company's entire security and IT operations posture. Key Responsibilities: - Manage vendor security intakes and assessments — evaluating new vendors against our security requirements and maintaining the vendor inventory - Administer IAM (identity and access management) across company systems — user provisioning, access reviews, role management - Manage device enrollment, MDM policies, and endpoint compliance - Coordinate with our outsourced IT support vendor for employee onboarding/offboarding and support escalations - Support ongoing HITRUST compliance maintenance and evidence collection - Complete client security questionnaire responses — lifting this from the integration team - Maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures - Support security scan report preparation and remediation tracking Required Qualifications: - 3-5 years in IT operations, security operations, or GRC roles - Experience with IAM platforms (Okta, Azure AD/Entra, or similar) - Familiarity with MDM solutions and endpoint management - Understanding of compliance frameworks (HITRUST, SOC 2, HIPAA) - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field Desirable Skills: - Vendor management experience — assessing third-party security posture and managing remediation - Healthcare industry experience — understanding of HIPAA requirements and health system security expectations - Experience with compliance automation tools (Vanta, Drata, or similar) - Background managing outsourced IT support relationships - Experience at a fast-growing startup where operational processes were being built alongside daily execution - Organizational Mastery: You manage dozens of concurrent operational tasks — vendor reviews, access requests, device enrollments, questionnaire responses — without dropping any of them - Documentation Rigor: You keep processes documented, evidence organized, and compliance records audit-ready at all times - Responsiveness: When someone needs access provisioned, a vendor reviewed, or a security questionnaire completed, you handle it promptly and accurately - Process Improvement: You don't just run the operational playbook — you improve it. You look for ways to automate, streamline, and reduce manual effort - Discretion: You handle sensitive information (access credentials, security findings, vendor assessments) with the appropriate level of confidentiality and professionalism Technical Environment: You'll work with healthcare data from diverse sources including: - Epic (Clarity, Chronicles, FHIR APIs) - Cerner, AllScripts, and other major EHR platforms - Claims data (CMS, commercial payers) - Clinical registries and specialty systems - FHIR R4 and legacy HL7 formats Why Join Qualified Health? This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company and a world-class team, that is poised to change the healthcare industry. We are a passionate, mission-driven team that is building a category-defining product. We are backed by premier investors and are looking for founding team members who are excited to do the best work of their careers. Our employees are integral to achieving our goals so we are proud to offer competitive salaries with equity packages, robust medical/dental/vision insurance, flexible working hours, hybrid work options and an inclusive environment that fosters creativity and innovation. Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer

Qualified Health

Founded in 2023 and headquartered in Palo Alto, California, Qualified Health is a health technology startup focused on building a secure and ethical infrastruct

Job Summary: The Cloud / Infrastructure Engineer is the person who builds the platform that everything else runs on. You'll provision Azure environments from scratch for health system partners — VNet configuration, private endpoints, managed identities, ADLS2 storage accounts, Databricks workspaces, and all the networking and security plumbing that holds it together. This is different from application-level data engineering. You're building the infrastructure foundation that data engineers build on top of. When a health system partner needs a modern data platform stood up so our AI products can connect, you're the person who makes the cloud environment real — from empty Azure subscription to production-ready Databricks workspace with data flowing. You'll work within our data modernization practice, building environments for partners transitioning from legacy infrastructure, and also support the broader integration team with tenant provisioning patterns and infrastructure best practices. If you love Terraform, Azure networking, and the satisfaction of seeing a well-architected cloud environment come to life, this is your role. Key Responsibilities: - Provision Azure environments for modernization engagements: VNets, subnets, NSGs, private endpoints - Deploy and configure Azure Databricks workspaces, ADLS2 storage accounts, and compute clusters - Build and maintain IaC (Terraform/Bicep) for repeatable infrastructure provisioning - Configure managed identities, RBAC, and security controls per engagement requirements - Set up networking for data connectivity (Delta Share, Fabric External Sharing, SFTP endpoints) - Support the Client Integration team with tenant provisioning patterns and infrastructure guidance - Document infrastructure configurations and maintain runbooks Required Qualifications: - 3-6 years in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering roles - Deep Azure experience: ARM/Bicep or Terraform, VNet design, private endpoints, managed identities, RBAC - Databricks workspace deployment and configuration experience - Networking fundamentals: DNS, firewalls, peering, private link - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical field Preferred Skills: - ADLS2 provisioning and management - Security-conscious infrastructure design: experience with HIPAA infrastructure requirements - Healthcare or regulated industry infrastructure experience - Experience building infrastructure for data platforms (not just web applications) - Familiarity with Delta Share, Fabric External Sharing, or similar data connectivity protocols - IaC Discipline: Your infrastructure code is version-controlled, tested, modular, and reusable — you don't click through portals - Security Mindset: You think about security at every layer — network isolation, identity management, encryption, access controls - Systematic Approach: You build infrastructure that can be reproduced for the next engagement, not one-off environments that require tribal knowledge to maintain - Troubleshooting: When connectivity fails between a VNet and a Databricks workspace, you know where to look and how to diagnose it quickly - Cross-Team Collaboration: You'll work alongside data engineers, modernization leads, and integration teams — you need to speak their language Technical Environment: Our data infrastructure is built on modern cloud technologies including: - Azure Databricks + Data Factory (plus Fabric and Snowflake integrations) - PySpark for distributed data processing - GitHub Actions + Terraform for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code - Python with type-safe patterns and modern frameworks - Healthcare data formats including FHIR, Epic Clarity, and other EHR schemas Why Join Qualified Health? This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company and a world-class team, that is poised to change the healthcare industry. We are a passionate, mission-driven team that is building a category-defining product. This description is a summary of our understanding of the job description. Click on 'Apply' button to find out more. Role Description Qualified Health is seeking a Data Engineer to support partner integration. This isn't a role where you'll maintain legacy systems or write reports nobody reads. You'll build the data pipelines that directly power AI systems used by clinicians across major U.S. health systems — systems that help doctors identify the right diagnosis, flag patients who need intervention, and improve outcomes at scale. Every query you write, every pipeline you build, directly touches patient care. You'll work in a pod with a Director who owns the customer relationship and 1-2 peers who share the mission. The path from Senior Data Engineer to Director of your own pod is clear and real — we're growing fast enough that the opportunity is a matter of when, not if. Key Responsibilities - Build and maintain data ingestion pipelines that pull from Epic Clarity databases, FHIR APIs, and HL7 feeds into our Databricks lakehouse architecture. - Execute data quality validation and mapping verification for each new workflow deployment. - Support 2-4 health system partners as part of a dedicated integration pod. - Develop and optimize SQL queries against complex healthcare data models. - Contribute to defining reusable data transformation patterns that accelerate future partner onboarding. Qualifications - 4+ years as a data engineer building production ETL/ELT pipelines. - Strong SQL skills (complex joins, window functions, CTEs across large healthcare datasets). - Proficiency with Python and PySpark for data transformation at scale. - Experience with cloud data platforms (Databricks preferred; Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift accepted). - Familiarity with FHIR data models or willingness to learn healthcare data standards quickly. - Azure cloud services experience (ADLS Gen2, Key Vault, networking basics). - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or related technical field. Desired Skills - Epic Clarity/Caboodle experience or healthcare data background. - Delta Lake, Delta Sharing, or lakehouse architecture experience. - HL7 message processing or real-time healthcare data pipelines. - Experience working in a multi-tenant SaaS environment. Technical Environment - Azure Databricks + Data Factory (plus Fabric and Snowflake integrations). - PySpark for distributed data processing. - GitHub Actions + Terraform for CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code. - Python with type-safe patterns and modern frameworks. - Healthcare data formats including FHIR, Epic Clarity, and other EHR schemas. What Success Looks Like - High-quality data pipelines delivered on schedule with thorough testing and documentation. - Proactive issue identification with technical problems caught and resolved before impacting partners. - Reusable components that reduce implementation time for subsequent integrations. - Clean production deployments with minimal post-launch issues. - Technical credibility with partner IT teams based on quality of work. - Efficient troubleshooting with quick diagnosis and resolution of data quality issues. Impact & Growth Opportunity As a Data Engineer at Qualified Health, you'll build the data infrastructure that powers AI-driven insights for major health systems.
