Role Description At NovoEd, the People & Culture team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. We are looking for a qualified and resourceful People & Culture Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The People & Culture Generalist will play a pivotal role, balancing both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as: - Recruiting - Training and development - Benefits & compensation - Driving employee engagement What you will do - Manage end-to-end recruiting operations for both full-time positions and contingent hiring efforts, including conducting preliminary phone interviews - Develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs - Draft and post job advertisements, coordinate communication with candidates and hiring managers, schedule interviews, and maintain the applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) - Plan onboarding and offboarding activities and perform new employees orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience - Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data - Process background and reference checks efficiently to ensure a thorough evaluation of potential candidates - Compose new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employees’ experience - Proactively identify cultural trends and create action plans to enhance employee engagement - Consistently champion the cultivation of an environment that aligns with NovoEd’s vision for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging - Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance management programs - Assist in developing and implementing employee training & development programs - Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise - Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to leaves of absences, grievance matters, organizational change, and other employee-relations matters - Please keep in mind this list is not all inclusive and you may be asked to perform other job functions not otherwise listed Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience working as a People Partner, HR Generalist, or similar role in a high-growth startup environment - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail - Strong teamwork skills; and a confident ability to offer suggestions and improvements to challenges Benefits - A collaborative work environment - Paid parental leave for parents - Flexible vacation days - Comprehensive health care coverage - Matching 401k - Work from home reimbursement - Phone bill reimbursements (Yes!
