Role Description At NovoEd, the People & Culture team is focused on what people need and how to provide it. We are looking for a qualified and resourceful People & Culture Generalist to support our department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The People & Culture Generalist will play a pivotal role, balancing both administrative and strategic responsibilities, and will help with important functions such as: - Recruiting - Training and development - Benefits & compensation - Driving employee engagement What you will do - Manage end-to-end recruiting operations for both full-time positions and contingent hiring efforts, including conducting preliminary phone interviews - Develop effective recruitment strategies and identify future staffing needs - Draft and post job advertisements, coordinate communication with candidates and hiring managers, schedule interviews, and maintain the applicant tracking system (Greenhouse) - Plan onboarding and offboarding activities and perform new employees orientation to deliver an exceptional early experience - Conduct and analyze exit interviews and make actionable recommendations based on data - Process background and reference checks efficiently to ensure a thorough evaluation of potential candidates - Compose new procedures and policies to continually improve the efficiency of the HR department and organization as a whole and to improve the employees’ experience - Proactively identify cultural trends and create action plans to enhance employee engagement - Consistently champion the cultivation of an environment that aligns with NovoEd’s vision for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging - Assist in administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance management programs - Assist in developing and implementing employee training & development programs - Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human resources issues arise - Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to leaves of absences, grievance matters, organizational change, and other employee-relations matters - Please keep in mind this list is not all inclusive and you may be asked to perform other job functions not otherwise listed Qualifications - 3-5 years of experience working as a People Partner, HR Generalist, or similar role in a high-growth startup environment - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Resourceful mindset and strong attention to detail - Strong teamwork skills; and a confident ability to offer suggestions and improvements to challenges Benefits - A collaborative work environment - Paid parental leave for parents - Flexible vacation days - Comprehensive health care coverage - Matching 401k - Work from home reimbursement - Phone bill reimbursements (Yes! This position will serve under the direction of the Administrator of the division. The Human Resources Analyst Senior oversees centralized ADA and Modified Duty programs and ensures actions adhere to all departmental policies and procedures, departmental structure and functions, and State and Federal employment laws, rules, and regulations. This position provides advice, guidance, and counsel regarding Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Modified Duty requests and inquiries. This position also provides back-up to the FMLA unit, handling the full FMLA administration process for assigned employees.
